Everybody needs to buy Gorillaz' "Demon Days" album. It is the finest album ever recorded.
I believe I shall download it, then.
It really isn't that great, I think their first was better

It is a darn good album.

    It's alright.

It has rapping in it that doesn't make me want to shoot a rapper.

Demon Days is the "Windmill" one, right?

I bought the album once and then, when it somehow ended up not going into my collection when I broke up with my ex, proceeded to drop hard-earned currency on the Special Edition. It's definitely left an impression on me.

I'll admit to being a bit of a Gorillaz fan in general, though - I have all of their commercial album releases (including the Brazil release of "G-Sides", as it contains all of the tracks from both the UK and US versions).

What are your three favorite bands?
    Uhh, American, foreign,what?
    Well, I mean

What kind of music do you like most? Hard rock? Piano stuff? Acoustic guitar playing folks?

Then I can have some context from which to draw a suggestion.
I'm very fluid in my tastes.

Currently I'm into jazz (specifically the works of Ornette Coleman and Victor Wooten), Metal (Dimmu Borgir and Fear Factory), and Trance (Armin van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk).

    I've heard good rap.

Just not terribly much of it because they hide it so well.

Yeah most good rap doesn't get any radio play.

But then again good music never gets radio play.

Yes. Exactly. There's so much brilliance in that album. There's a couple of bits and bobs here and there that falls flat, of course - for some reason the rap on November Has Come leaves me cold - but as a whole the album is sublime. Ike Turner's piano break on Every Planet We Reach Is Dead is simply magnificent.

O Green World always puts me in mind of Theme Hospital, though.

I think it's pretty solid. It's Murray Gold and Ben Foster doing what they do best. What's not to love?

(Also, despite having it on DVD and Bluray, I really didn't like the first season of Torchwood. But the second? Oh-ho-ho, fucking glorious if you ignore "From Out The Rain". Honestly, that one plays like an episode of Are You Afraid Of The Dark?.)
