Windows Crash Problem

A little while ago my computer had an error and restarted. When it got back to the desktop I got a message saying "Windows has recovered from a serious error". Since then firefox has been logging me out of everything every time I close the window, including things I am permanently logged into (facebook, igoogle, etc.). I've tried running a virus scan and resetting my privacy settings but nothing has fixed it. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

I use Windows XP Home Media Center
