So today I was wandering through WalMart and saw some Nerf guns, and decided to buy a couple.
I got a Maverick REV-6 and a Recon CS-6
I've been looking into modification, and I'm not finding much in the way of simple mods that make it shoot harder.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do to these things?

The simplest thing to do with a Maverick is to take the cyclinder apart and remove the restrictors from each bore. You can also stretch the piston spring, but I think that is a temporary improvement.

The cylinder is the big yellow cylinder and the spring is the one in the upper left of the pistol. You might be able to find a heavier spring, but I have not been able to find one heavy enough to make an improvement with without being to heavy to work.

    Maverick air restrictor (AR) removal

    Recon AR removal

I ruined a Recon gutting the AR. It's not terribly worth it to make it stronger since it's such a weak gun already.

If you have more questions, that website has tons of mods and information, and I can help too

Well, that was an interesting hour.
I was able to remove the ARs from the Maverick just fine, and when I was putting it back together, pressure from the spring made the firing-pin (Orange thing in the top left of that picture) snapped, rendering it useless.
After a while trying to fix it, I just said to hell with it, and put the gun back together like normal, and whadayaknow, it fires great.
It misfires every 4th round or so, so I'll probably have to go back in and take one of the pennies I put behind the spring out.

I'll second what MrDelish says about nerfhaven.com- amazing site for nerf modding. Though, if you're looking for a really easily modifiable, cheap gun, get a nitefinder.
