I'm "obese," but I can still carry 300 pounds of groceries up two flights of stairs. It takes a concerted effort and a regime of life-ruining activities or a legitimate disease to get as far gone as I've seen some people.

I'd join you if I wasn't in Ohio when you're here(sidenote, go to Cedar Point while you're in OH if you can and you like Roller Coasters). Do the touristy stuff, White House, Washington Monument, Smithsonian, etc. If you're somewhat a foodie, Ben's Chili Bowl is cool. They do have the one at the Nats stadium, but I would think it would pale in comparison to the real one, since the location and history are what makes it stand out more than anything. Ray's Hells Burger is another good place if you want to follow Obama and his burger outings. Five Guys too, though they're scattered around the east coast.
I see that you're also going to Roanoke. There's nothing there, but I understand, it's right off I-81. I grew up there... there's the star... and uh. Mountains. Good hiking(right along the AT and Blue Ridge Mountains). Decent art museum. Five Guys, and some other decent eating establishments. There might be some rodeo or something going on then(It's where Borat sang the national anthem at, if you've seen the movie).

@BMI talk - As greeble said, BMI does not factor in muscle mass, it just measures the proportions of your weight versus your height. That's why it's called a Body Mass Index and not a FATTY FAT index.
A better gauge of how "fat" one is, would be those clampy things that measure fat percentages.

If you have time while you're in Chicago and want to see it, I used to work at the Art Institute of Chicago and still enjoy showing people around it a bit. I have a lifetime membership that I can use to get 4 people in for free - not bad since admission is up to $20 now or something crazy like that. Anyway, an afternoon spent in that area with a visit to the Art Institute, stops at Millenium Park and Buckingham Fountain, a Chicago river architectural cruise, and a walk down Adams to the Sears Tower and trip up to the skydeck cover all of the major downtown touristy sites that are actually enjoyable enough for me to revisit at least once a year (other than the Sears Tower - the occasional visit every few years to show friends/family from out of town is enough for me there).
So unless anyone else already has and I was dumb and didn't see it... I'll happily organize a Chicago-oriented gathering for those of you who want to moles-er, meet Flippy. Throw me a PM if you're in the area and interested, otherwise I'll extract a list of Chicagoans from Flippy and then contact you myself. Although, I'd prefer the former because it's less work.
