I would have loved to go with you to Schlitterbahn... But sadly, I have to work Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:30, and only get 5 days off per year soooo... :(

I guess I could use one of them, but I really ought to save them for sick days.

Besides, it's super gloomy today in Austin, at least, so the place might have been rained out anyhow.

I meant to make a post about this when Flippy left, but I forgot.
    Dur.
It involves the NailBunny portable hard drive of Music that Flippy's carrying about.
I offered to let Flippy hook up and add some stuff. He declines. DECLINES! Terrible.
I will admit that he did happen to see a directory open on my computer with music files in it. And may have seen the title of these files. And perhaps, he chose to decline based on those titles.
I had other music. Good music too. His loss.
All because I was going to add all 89 "Real American Heroes" and "Real Men of Genius" Budweiser commercials to the hard drive.
    dude... what?

those commercials are the best. flippy is just closed minded.

The driver didn't even bother counting heads. No drivers have done that. He said we had 35 minutes and then tried to drive off after 30. I stumbled out of the doors just as he was pulling off.

So I picked flippy up around 1130am today and drove him to the house. I left him with the fiance for a bit and picked us all up some lunch and hung out for a bit. we were going to go out and walk around downtown san antonio for a while but for the first time in like 2 months we have rain all afternoon. it gets to be about 3 and he lays down for a nap. we decide to do the same since we are tired from an alaska trip we just took.

its 9:35pm and he's still asleep. poor guy was saying he's had insomnia for a few days and has only slept like 3 hours. i tried to wake him up around 6:30 to see if he wanted to grab dinner but he kind of grumbled something about being fussed so I let him sleep.

i feel bad not showing him the city at all, but i think he needed this. he has a full bed with fresh sheets all to himself. maybe tomorrow in the morning we will go check some stuff out.

You make it sound like flippy went through god-knows-what in New Orleans... cramped bunk... dirty sheets.. surrounded by all those women...

For some reason that brings up images of Castle Anthrax from Monty Python and the Holy Grail...

Actually, it's the effect of the energy-sapping dampening field Governor Rick Perry placed over the State in an attempt to root out illegal immigrants.

Turns out it works on ones with official visas and stuff too.

    Damn you Perry!

Just be careful if they switch buses on you, as sometimes they like to do that after they load up your luggage.

Yeah I always felt bad for not helping him out when he was carrying that thing. He had to do a sort of swinging maneuver to get the thing on his back.

Edit: My friends tell me that flippy and I look similar, which I'm not too sure of. But the strange thing is, he looks much more like me than my actual (biological) brother does. And before you ask, yes, my brother and i have BOTH parents in common.

Also I weigh about 126 pounds according to Googles.

And I'm cutting Fort Worth from my schedule because fuck you, American public infrastructure. I'll be staying an extra night in Austin then heading straight to Abilene.

It actually has a pretty good claim to it. When Willie Nelson was unable to get record deals, he started performing in Austin and a scene built up around it. Attracted more liberal minded crowds, which attracted more bands. Austin was a major stop for tours through the 70's and 80's.

Austin is pretty big on the live indie/alt rock stage. we have one of the biggest music festivals in the country. so it's lollapalooza in the north central, bonnaroo in the eat, coachella in the west, and Austin city limits in the south.
