There's some good fake meat out there. Boca makes good stuff. And the vegetarian restaurant at the Buddhist Temple near where I lived in California was fucking fantastic.

See, to me tofu can be good. But only when you are using it as tofu in a dish that's intended to make tofu --and other stuff-- taste good; not when you are using tofu as pretend hamburger or whatever the hell. Then it just seems like you're pretending to know how to cook vegan food when you really have no idea or are conceding that dead animals are tasty and should be eaten.

This pretty much sums up my stance on fake meat.

As long as you don't expect it to taste like hamburger or whatever the hell, it's fine.

I was an English major up until the second to last month of my senior year when I went to the head of the history department and was like "I am like two 100 level intro to history classes from having earned a history major as well will you fudge things for me?" And he did.

That was a bad story and I am sorry.

I'm having a crisis over my relationship, and my subconscious seems to be strongly suggesting I should try being single again since things aren't really working out.

Is there any way to act on this where I don't hurt somebody's feelings badly? Because now I'm feeling guilty about rushing into something to an extent and I know that there's a decent chance I'd bounce back into a relationship in like 6 months or so.

Am I giving up on something too soon, and how long should I wait to see if this opinion is a mood affected one?

So you take out an ad for a sex toy, and make all sorts of ridiculous claims about it. Best sex toy ever. Anyway, you have them send a check to a respectable looking company, something like "Living Innovations". Then after 2 weeks, you send them a letter with a note apologizing for being back-ordered, and a check for their money. But this check is from "Monstrous Ass-Pounders Company." Odds are, a lot of people aren't going to want to cash a check from "Monstrous Ass-Pounders Company." Checks expire, you keep the change.

But what does it mean to suck? If by sucking you mean that in 4 years I haven't learned shit except how to read big books and write long essays, then yeah. But if... uhh... if you mean something totally else, then I may disagree!

I'm basically feeling that despite our somewhat similar interests, between me and my present girlfriend their isn't quite as much crossover as I had hoped. I'm somewhat more an extrovert then her, and I'm finding that we don't necessarily have a great dynamic going on as the whole boyfriend/girlfriend thing.

I've been feeling sort of tepid ever since we had a weird angsty period about a week or 2 ago, whereupon I was more or less ready to call it quits but we didn't. Now I'm kind of thinking maybe I should have.
