I posted one for the guild recruit bug. The only one I'm concerned about is this issue about Act 9's cutscene not being translated.
There's some I'm concerned about, like "+/=" not working for the hotbar by default, since the hotbar is still set for Japanese keyboards and not English ones.
as well, a few translation things, going by that one blog post where they pointed out all the translation errors in the English version (I'd completely forgotten it seems that a lot of the translation is being done by volunteers).
What is the default channel we are using now the Channel 5 is gone?
Edit: Spent about two hours playing tonight. It's lonely now that Persona 4 is out. The interface is still clunky to me. I had to have another player explain how to cast cure spells, and it would be nice if my character automatically moved into range when casting offensive magic.
I also have a handle on the expertise system now, but I have no idea how I'm going to level support or curse magic. The game hands you destructive magic and healing items level curative magic. I was just grinding tonight to get a better feel for the battle system.
I know earlier in the thread there was a discussion about skill allocation, with a recommendation to not put points in intelligence. Maybe things will change, but I'm absolutely dying for MP at level six. I can only cast two spells in a row right now. Again, I realize it's early but constant magic attacks are the only way I can really keep enemies off of me. I don't know if it's lag or not, but I can almost never successfully cast a spell after countering an attack.
So wait, how's this game work? You tag skills? Is it like Asheron's Call with demon pets?
Imagine has Expertises, which you can turn on or off. As you perform skills or learn things related to those Expertise that you have turned on, they'll get Expertise points alloted to them (there's, however, a cap on them that grows depending on your level; for example, I'm level 15 and my cap is 18000 points). And as you raise your rank and level (I forget if that's the term, but for every 10 ranks, you go up a level in expertise), you can learn new associated skills.
also guys, where can I find a level 12 to 15 demon? I'd rather not fuse my current ones just to sacrifice the result for a plate
You build up the Healing expertise by using healing items, and then you can learn Dia at Rank 1.
Crap, you mean if I had Healing Magic tagged I could have gotten a healing spell by now?
Yep. You can do this for support items/debuff items too.
Also, channels 5-8 went back up for some reason.
Ah ok, so there are support/debuff items. I thought that maybe that's how it worked since that's how I first learned Dia, but I haven't encountered any yet.
Also, this game really brings out the compulsive grinder in me. I never liked rep grinding in WoW for instance, but I'll skill grind all day long. I spend most of time in Innocent Sin card grinding. It's really sad.
Regular Cu Siths work, but are a pain to recruit. Level 15 high pixies can be found in varying places in Shibuya, and aren't naturally aggressive. If you haven't done the mining thing yet, people were talking about getting a Knocker (Also Shibuya) which had a good chance to complete it, and would level up in the process.
Well this is unfortunate. I try to log on, and it says "A System Error has occurred"
I guess I can't play...
Edit: I was given this file key from FilePlanet, but I never had to enter it anywhere. I'm currently stuck at the login screen unable to get in the game, it gives me that error every time I try to log in. Did I miss something?

File key is useless. System error can be fixed if you create a new password. If THAT doesn't work, try logging into Aeria Games, then starting the game. If THAT doesn't work, reinstall the game.
Usually this happens if you ran the Patcher file. Do not run the patcher file. Just go to AeriaGames > Megaten > ImagineClient.exe.
What status effect attacks are good? I've got to choose three of four: Charm, Sleep, Panic, Mute. My Andras has access to all four, but I've got Magic Shot and Lemegeton taking up two slots, along with the three defensive skills. I'm actually thinking about removing the Dodge skill just so it has all four attacks.

No no, they fixed that a week or so ago. His problem is that now he needs to run the updater. It'll give you that error if you're not up to date with the latest files

Mute is the most generally useful, as magic tends to be murderous. Sleep is only situationally useful, since it wears off once the target gets hit. Panic doesn't seem all that useful, as it only increases the cooldown time of skill use.
Charm should theoretically be useful, though I've never seen the target actually help me. It might wear off after getting hit, too. One would assume it would be better than sleep, at least, but it might have a crappy hit rate or something.

I downloaded the game today. I have run the updater every time I have tried to log in.

Charm doesn't make the target do anything, but it's pretty nice when you're getting swarmed. I'd probably use it as a replacement for Sleep.
Oh, and mass status effect spells? BAD IDEA. Any targets that don't get affected instantly turn hostile.
None. Concentrate on killing as quickly as possible.
Pretty much this.
Mute, for example, may seem good on paper. Stopping the enemy from casting spells. Spells hurt.
But you achieve the same thing by hitting the enemy so that they can't finish casting, and if they -do- get to cast you should be dodging it anyways which will at worst delay them for a second until they can start casting again, or later counters toss stuns and such onto the enemy free of charge.
Just wondering. Anyone know where is a good spot to level when you're 22? Trying to get to 25 for the license test but it's gotten horribly slow to get up (compared to before, where getting to 20 was quite fast due to quests). Are there any good quests or anything with good rewards to try?

Nakano is a pretty good place, if not the Shinjuku tunnels. If nothing else, you could camp outside the Naginami Tunnels and wait for someone who's doing the big XP quests.

Shibuya Quartz tends to give really, really high xp going through it. Kill random mobs outside and around the dungeon until you farm up 10 altered magnetite and give it to the yagiya inside the dungeon for a plate. If you have any exp incense left popping it would be a good idea.
If you're a gunner you can basically solo the whole thing if you're careful because almost everything, boss included, is weak to guns. If you're not, bringing 1 or 2 friends (or random people) will probably cover you. The only real things to look out for are Lucky Hua Po, which can do a lot of damage if you don't dodge their spells, and making sure you don't link a bunch of the boss helpers in the last room. I never noticed any of the other mobs linking (or even turning hostile) but then they weren't living too long.

Huh. In that case, does hitting the target's weak points do anything besides extra damage? I wasn't sure if it added to stun time or anything.

I'll try that to get some more levels next time. Already got to 25 by doing full-party silver runs in the first tunnels. Luckily, in the run where I turned 25 there were other two level 24's who, after I did my DB license test (and the mission afterwards) were both level 25 and we did each of their test and mission (600K total :^:). I got to 26 already and finished chapter 8. Were those questions supposed to be alignment-changing?
Also, those rings you get for mounting? Where do you make/get more of them? The one for the cerberus the trainer gave me is almost finished, and I would like to try to mount other demons.
Other than that, I'm really having fun with this game. Combat is fun (coordinating with your pet is great), story is nice and so are graphics. Fusing demons together has sparked a kind of Pokemania from my childhood. It's just fun all around.

Go back to the trainer dude and get the 10/10 durability mount ring. If you have that one, you can repair it anywhere for a small cost.

Yeah, that's the one I have. Thing is, after being repaired to hell and back, it's at 2/2 right now. (Yeah, I travel a lot :P). With my luck, in next repair it should go *poof* and then I won't be able to mount

Yeah, I hate that. I wish you could INCREASE durability some way.

Repair kits increase durability, up to their original maximum. But I've only ever found one in a boss box.

There are several acts after that untranslated. First part is translated, and the second if left untranslated in some cutscenes.
