I've been working on destruction magic in hopes of unlocking the devil killing fist thing. Apparently that tree gives elemental rush skills that do damage based on magic instead of strength.
thanks Aeria, you could have said in advance that I wouldn't have to reinstall the client and all I needed to do is update. You know, like the day you announced the closed beta was closing.

Alright, I have returned to this game.
Gonna stick to my guns (har). Let's do this thing!

Are there any special demons that require a triple fusion with things from multiple alignments? Like 2 Chaos and a Law or 2 Laws and a Neutral? If there is, I think it's important for everyone to try and stay varied with their alignment so it'll be easier for us to get the necessary demons.
For what it's worth, I'm going Chaos if possible. Neutral is too bleh and Law is even more nuts than Chaos. It also has that freaky weapon shop owner.
If anyone is still up and wants to run suganami, my character name is McCheese in channel 5. Didn't seem to get any shards my first time through for some reason.

So apparently they fixed nothing, because Kuroe's dialogue during the gameplay tutorial is still half blanked out.
And I'm going Law, mostly because of
The Messians on the whole are cool people, at least better than the usual religious fanatics.
Law is always nuts though, they just don't show it. That's how they get ya. You join and think everything's okay, next thing you know you have to suck some archangel dick or you're getting thrown in a prison with Baphomet. Chaos always makes it pretty clear that they're just a bunch of assholes who want to kick some ass.
Also they did fix a little bit of stuff. "Run away" was translated in the intro instead of being hiragana.

Maybe that's why all the girls in glasses are on Law's side.
Arcadia is full of them.
Also, most of my favorite demons have been Law so far, like Unicorn(repels physicals) and Macha.

Completed the tutorial again, so I'm back in the game proper, but I won't be around regularly until I finish P4. Still, I'll hop on in a heartbeat if someone mentions a high XP run.
The interface is clunky compared to other MMOs out there, but like any game I think it just takes getting used to. I actually started getting decent at my magic only character before closed beta ended, but it took some grinding, and I put points in whatever stat gives MP because I needed to be able to cast more than one spell before having to regen mana.
Some documentation would be nice for people like me that will actually read it when available, but overall my gripes were minimal. Then again I didn't get to the part of the game that hadn't been translated yet.
If its a single, wouldnt mind an invite, character name Elycius.
I think we're still waiting for the clan to be recreated, since it was deleted with the end of Closed beta. Zandracon has a ticket, so I guess we just have to wait for both him and CJ to get on

Generally a magic dude isn't actually going to be casting his own spells for a long, long time. Just use the stones from the magic shop. They're pretty cheap and level up your destruction magic expertise when used.

It's scary how fast some of the usual clans formed back up. I already saw most of the same ones from closed beta running around.
I still need to do the Virtual Battle stuff, but I guess I can reform the clan after that.
Is it just me or is leveling up faster now? I don't remember getting to level 8 within an hour or two last time and people weren't walking around with Kikuri-Hime and Bicorn on day two of the closed beta.
So, are there any good resources out there regarding skills and expertise and such? I got my little guy up to level nine, but I have yet to devote into a expertise route thingy. I hear occasional tidbits about elemental rushes and mages being expensive and whatnot, just enough to make me scared to commit, but not enough to be able to read up on the details.

I hear GameFAQs has some exhaustive resources on the game.
Personally, I say learn everything you can. I can't see a downside to being able to heal yourself, cast fire magic, attack with a sword, and break out a gun if the situation calls for it.
Trying this out, if you see an Arkadya, poke me or some such.
Also, does this game have an autorun? I didn't see it under the keybinds option.
There's an autorun command that you can hotkey under the Skills/Command List.
Also, could I get an invite to the clan when it's formed? Character name Beoulve; currently level 10 atm.
I wouldn't mind a invite to this clan, when it's up Char name's Elliot, just restarting.
From the Closed Beta, I think this is going to be great fun, but the thing that surprised me the most is that it feels like a standard SMT game most of the time

That does, however, severely cut into your damage, since you'd have to split your attributes up so many ways.

Bleh. Nevermind. Some people online helped me. Pretty nice. I got a Clan Permit.
ahhaha, that was fast

Not sure at all what type of build I'll go for; I haven't really even read up on the skill system at all yet.

Guess Ill have to give this a try out now, hopefully I should be able to finish up December in P4 by the time the download is finished.
