Computer displays test bars randomly.

Ok this is just odd.

I go to turn on my compuetr tonight and it refuses to display anything.
Powers on and i can hear it boot into windows.

Figuring it might be the DVI-D cable i connect a VGA Cable with a DVI Adapter and it displays an image.

When i boot into windows everything appears odd.

I can see Some "Snow" and now randomly it seems to display a Color bar type test poattern ,then a white screen then a grey screen then a blck screen.

I cannot tell if it's my monitor or my video card.

Screen is a Acer p191w

Card is a Gigabyte 3870.

Hopefully someone can make sense of this.

Thanks in advance

Odd indeed. The problem only happens when you boot into Windows, or is it doing strange things before you even get there?
