My father, my wonderful, hard-working, respectable, forty-six year old father... A man who hasn't played a video game since Kung-Fu on the NES, and Galaga before that.
My father is playing on a trial account for WoW.
When I asked him what character he made, he told me that he made a gnome, and after going through a few names, settled on "Lentil". I told him how fantastic of a name he had chosen before saying that I couldn't speak to him again until he made a Horde character, and played only as Horde characters from then on, then I promptly hung up on him.
...
Okay, well I didn't hang up on him.. But everything before the hanging up is absolutely true.
My father took over my WoW account and plays for at least 3 hours per day. It is no fun. He is also not creative with names, his main is called Leeuw, his alts Blion, Clion and Deathlion.
When I first started playing WoW my brother made an orc warlock named Shatner so I made a troll mage named Nimoy. The name grew on me. My brother's Imp's name was Tarkin so when we transferred servers he changed his name to Grandmoff.
I also have a friend that plays nothing but female characters and one time on the server forums some guy made this post bashing the 'fags' that played female characters and mentioned my buddy specifically. I made an alt to troll the thread named Kimbecile and typed everything out valley girl style. I kept the character for awhile and got it into the 20's but never stuck with it but I always kinda liked that name.
My favorite that I've seen has to be an undead female warrior named Sagginbags I crack up every time I see him/her.
In EQ a few years ago my favorite was the rogue Betterwatchyer Backdickhead. All the 'bad ass' names in WoW piss me off though. I hate all those Istabu guys or any name with 'lol' in it.
Somehow I'm not surprised to learn that THE most annoying guild on my server (constantly bragging how they ninja'd loot from puggers, generally trolling) is named "Pwnzone."
Indeed. I've only got about 10000 characters saved in my World of Warcraft Armory crawler, but there's a "Supërman", "Jumpman" and, my personal favorite: "Kinkymailman"
Bonemama, Bonedad, Coolcat, Leviathian. Entire family played together! They even had a bible study going with the GM of my first raiding guild.
Until Bonedad and I broke the guild apart over raiding issues. Must have been some awkward moments during those studies after..

I was sitting in the Dalaran visitor's center waiting for that goddamn Abjuration book to spawn (oh god) when I saw a message that someone named Castlevaniac had lost a duel. I wanted to tell him that I liked his name, but he's on the opposite faction as me.
ed: More on topic, I saw a guy named pspimp today. I was wondering if he was a photoshop pimp or if it was just a postscript, when I realized I didn't really want to know. The mystery was worth preserving.
Yup, but the sewers are also broken as hell. Usually dueling there, at least in my experience, ends up with both people at 1 health hitting each other not winning. And then I'll life tap and my health goes up to 85% or so.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us
My crime, killing a level 74 DK, on my level 74 shadowpriest in Venture bay, twice.
And I play on a pve server.
I actually got this whisper just as I was about to take a flightpath to Nexus, but after telling people in my group about this whisper, they said they would summon me.
So I went back, found him, and killed him another two times. I could feel the rage coming through the net.
So I went back, found him, and killed him another two times. I could feel the rage coming through the net.
How much did he/his gear suck to let a SP kill him twice?
Why was he flagged on a PvE server?
I really hope that felt at least half as good as I imagine it did
Well I actually killed him 4 times.
First time, he rode by me, and I dotted him up, and he carried on running. I gave chase, saw him dismount to bandage up, at which point I finished him off.
Second time, he got back to 100%, rode nearby to look at me, so I started fight 2 rather than wait for him to exact his revenge; I would fear him (his pet wasn't out after the first kill), dot him, then run off out of combat, mount up, ride around a bit as he tried to close the gap on foot and deathgrip me, then when fear was back, I'd repeat the process. Result, me on 100%, him dead.
Then I got asked to an instance, and was about to fly off when I got the whisper. I told the guy after recieving his whisper I had been about to set off, but because of the whisper, I was going back to kill him. He said he'd report me.
So I run back to where I think he died, at which point he's logged back on, and rez'd.
Third time, he actually just nicely stood there and did nothing; evidently sending hate waves through the net to kill me.
He logs back over, tells me he's reported me, and that I should await my ban. I wish him good luck with that.
Fourth time; I hide behind a tree, at which point I dot him as he runs away on his mount. The dots don't kill him, but he goes down a tiny hill, which does about 200 fall damage and kills him.
I then get summoned to the Nexus, and a level 80 prot paladin tries to kill me; my group swamp him, he bubbles, I dispel it, and he dies 5 feet away from the instance; we go in, and we have a flawless run.

I'd love to see the conversation between him and the GM about that.
You could probably have reported him for his "Fckyounoob" name.
I need all the honor I can get, as I'm a horrible shadowpriest when it comes to pvp; banning one of the few sources of income would not really be in my best interests. Anyway, there wasn't as much abuse from him as you'd expect considering the name he gave himself, and I've recieved worse and not done anything about it (that's more of a laziness issue). Plus, I didn't put him on ignore, so I can't really say to a GM I was upset by it.
I was in a bg on my shaman a week ago, trying my best to heal, when I noticed a hunter's health going down really quickly, to a rogue, mage and ret paladin. He dies, obviously, despite the heals, at which point I get a whisper from the hunter calling me a fucking retard. I tell him to piss off, at which point he says he's reporting me.
I must say "Fckyounoob" is one of those that remind me of the kid who just couldn't come up with a creative handle so he ends up pulling something lame out of his perverbial ass. Kind of remeinds me of Hackers when the kid who really wants to fit in can't think of a good name for himself. Like that kid, I think this noob is "... hopless man, utterly hopeless."
As far as smoking him four times for being a jackhole... You were well within the realm of responsibility for punishing him for tarding all over a PvP area in the first place.
Overall good tactics with the DK. Really showcases what good casting can do.
As far as the hunter... he really showcased his inability to utilize *traps and AoE. You can only heal so much before you have to accept that a players own disfunctional thought process is what usually gets them sent to the rez zone.

I wish my dad liked games.
*gazes into the distance*
It does?
Then why does that woman who lives here play the game still and better yet why is she still here after 2 years?
Because you forgot to untie her.

Somehow the WoW Armory says there are no characters anywhere that are named Batman. There are many guilds though, and a few arena teams.
There are two characters named Batman on the EU armory.

You should join one of their servers, wait for them to log on, and send them a tell that says "I double hate you." Post results.

The guy claimed it meant the horde. Right.

Then I wondered where you can duel in Dalaran.

Venture Bay is the PvP area in Grizzly Hills. You get flagged by accepting the quests. (There is a confirmation window)

The best part of this story is the fact that the DK died from falling damage and took a durability hit.
You cost him his manhood AND his gold. Priceless!
Deary me. The only better way to kill someone is a mind control cliff jump - that shit feels gooood.
