help with hw reguarding the wheel of time series

Im in a scriptwriting class and our assignment is to write an adaptation, or at least a small one. And what I have in mind is the prequel from Robert Jordan's Eye of the World which talks of Lews therins death and madness and such. However I cannot for the life of me think of how to start it off or how to visually include the fact that there is such a thing as saidin and that it has been tainted. I thought of doing a voiceover perhaps a la lord of the rings but i just cant seem to get a good idea going so I'm lookin for some brainstorm help here.

    Well, are you talking about the Prologue (which is different from a prequel) of The Eye of the World? Because frankly, that chapter is pretty confusing anyway. If I were adapting the series, I'd probably just start with Chapter One and Rand.

    Or would the prequel novella Strike at Shayol Ghul be better source material?
    A screenwriting class is having you write an adaptation? How far along the program tract are you?
