I just went and tested it out to see what's breaking my detaunt.

It's not my DoTs that break it. My pet's DoT did.

Tried out the root, too. The detaunt turns off your auto-attack when you use it. Unfortunately, since I'm running with a squig all the time - usually the spiked squig, which lets me auto-attack while moving - and the root doesn't turn off my auto-attack or my squig's attack, it typically breaks instantly. My squig's DoT also appears to break the root.

Yet another SH-specific problem. :| I'll add it to the list. Hope Mythic's reading.

Why? Is Khorne secretly super emo or something.

mostly because he was the most-used chaos god when i played tabletop 40k. EVERYONE had to have khorne lords on juggernauts and a shitload of berzerkers etc. i heard "blood for the blood god" way to much haha. the lore for all the chaos stuff (and the whole world) is really awesome though, which is why i really want this game to keep getting better and stay interesting for me. its a world i def love to play in.

anyway you could macro (or use an addon) that would turn off your attack, the squigs attack, then hit your detaunt? hell maybe this would help you with some of the other issues - but obviously not ideal

That's a good idea, and I'll look into it. My macro-fu is weak, though. I'll check the UI wiki, but last I looked it was just a bunch of half-complete API documentation and no guides.

I had something weird happen to me on my Knob today.

I was in a scenario and saw a WE with low hp trying to move away from the battle. I was chasing her and trying to hit with my attacks. I soon realized that none of my attacks were hitting and I couldn't kill her even though she had less than 5% hp. I kept getting the "invalid target" message each time I attacked. There was nobody else nearby and she just stood there laughing at me while my attacks were doing nothing.

She wasn't attacking back either. Just standing there, laughing. Eventually she ran off somewhere else and I met up with another oponnent. As soon as I started fighting my new opponent the WE came back and started attacking me. At this point I could attack her again.

I wonder if the WE invis bug is still around?

I had heard that some time ago there was a bug and for the first 5 seconds of their invis, anybody could see them. I'm not sure if they could be targetted or hit though?

I've had that happen rarely with different classes in scenarios, but I think it was a little bit of lag, so I was always just a little behind them when giving chase.

My first reaction was that this might be some kind of "invalid target" hack but an invisiblity bug would make sense seeing as I was the only one chasing after a WE with less than 5% hp. Was probably supposed to be invisible and untargettable.

I've had a similar problem before where no matter what I did, I couldnt get in melee range with a Witch Hunter.
I kept cutting him short on his turns and it looked like I was right on top of him, but it kept giving me the out of melee range error, even though all my melee abilities were lit up.
But if I backed off out of melee range, I was able to use my throw axe. (even though it wouldnt work when I was inside melee range for my other abilities that were saying out of range.)

Hey, if you get any doubles or don't want the cards themselves for some reason, please PM me, because I want to try and collect all the cards. And having more cases wouldn't hurt. I want lots of WARHAMMER on my bookshelf, like how it has lots of DAoC.

So I was surfing the VN Boards and came across a couple of people whining about the missing cities, and I was wondering what we are missing out on by only having the 1 city per side.

Someone was being sarcastic and said that the only thing the other cities would have would be more vendors etc.

But maybe they would have more dungeons... just imagine having 6 tier 4 dungeons to do for the sentinal armor. It would mean you could do up to 2 dungeons every night and never be locked out.

No real point to this post other than that I sort of put it on a mental X-mas Warhammer wishlist.

If there wasn't so much shit to do in the game as is I'd probably be more heartbroken over the lack of the other cities. As is I'm rather happy they didn't make it for launch because it gives us something new and shiny to look forward to PLUS they'll probably be even better than the current cities due to everything Mythic learned from making the previous ones.

People often fake attack a different keep in another zone then when the order rock up go back and quickly smash into the one they really want to take while leaving a single squad or a few at the diversion to make it look like they just all died.

A really smart diversion has the ones who die go back to the real warcamp attack zone so it looks like they're just giving up totally. Then they all hit the real keep.

this would work with fortresses for zone locks.

One warband hits one, three others hit another.

Or shit just everybody hit all of them at once then suddenly switch to reinforce the attack on the one you really want to take.

    Just so many tactical possibilities.

No no, not just the cases, but the cards too, the cards being inside of the case.

And then having all 8. And then putting them all in a bookshelf so that it's all one big WAR-arama.

Lets see, I have my Collectors edition, (Hope to get a standard edition sometime when the price drops), I have my target preorder, and also my other war preorder that came in the box with the game cards. Oh and I have about 4 or 5 magazines with WAR on the cover.

So yeah, I want those damn cards. Then I would be just Missing the Bestbuy preorder box and a standard edition, and then I would have all the RL items. :D

Well, look at it this way. All the keeps right now are very basic. They don't have any means of upgrading other than getting the BFOs for like, 10 more NPC guards. Same with the Fortresses. So for now, taking two fortresses is kinda easy, but when there are more cities, it will be a more linear path but by then, I am sure they would have done some things to make it more intricate and detailed and probably even more difficult.

does anyone have any ShamWOW specific advice?

It's made in Germany, so you know it's good.

Yes: stay far as hell away from the front lines at the start of a scenario in T1 and pre-load those HoT's as the fronts crash into one another. Heal from a distance, and don't stop unless you absolutely have too. Taking and keeping the fort in that initial rush is important.

Don't worry, most WH's and WL's won't be smart enough to come back there and get you. If one is, well, it happens.

I almost bought one of those WoW CCG starter packs today because the Raid Decks sound awesome. However I did not find any Raid Decks so it didn't happen. It would have been rather interesting playing the CCG since I have next to 0 knowledge of WoW, and possibly less than 0 knowledge of Warcraft lore.

I bring this up because I saw WoW's pre-painted table top game while I was out and, wow, those are actually really well done little figures. They don't have anywhere near the cheap shit paint job that HeroClix does. I was tempted! If Warhammer would put out a CCG or a "dumbed down pre-painted tabletop series" I would devour that shit. I'm one of those people who finds a brand they like and lavishes it with all of my monies.

Yes, obviously there is the full fledged awesome Warhammer and 40k table tops but I don't have enough time for it. I barely have enough patients to paint one of the figures, I've tried (poor Tau army). Plus having to use a ruler just isn't as friendly as counting out grid spaces. I know I would love the hell out of the WAR table top if I felt I had the time for it but I don't so appeal to my massmarketness, GW!
