Yes, it's time to sing the praises of a comedy classic. One of the great Steve Martin's first films, and an enduring classic.

The Jerk

Blog-Steve-Martin-The-Jerk.jpg

"You're not our natural born child."
"I'm not? You mean I'm going to stay this color?"

and who can forget pizza in a cup?
pizza10_inline_3.jpg

"Oh, this is the best pizza in a cup ever. This guy is unbelievable. He ran the old Cup 'o Pizza guy out of business. People come from all over to eat this."

and of course, stay away from the fucking cans!

HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE THE JERK?

    his SNL appearances
    Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
    and Bowfinger

and cut out all the extraneous shit and I would still love him to death

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is so fucking good! I still remember watching it with an old gf who was pretty stupid and all through the film she's complaining about how sexist it is and I'm telling her to shut the fuck up and just watch it and of course at the end of the film suddenly she just loves it. She didn't last long, the stupid bitch.

she did, and she was the loudest most obnoxious laugher, ever

I can sum up my feelings for steve Martin in one word.

    meh.
By that I mean, I don't hate him, but I don't love him. He's good, but he's not Tom Hanks.

Damn it! more than one word >.<
