Hope: I can hit 80 soon to start making mad bank from quests.
Kind of annoyed: I love prot, but it appears my 10 man group has enough tanks as is, so I'll be respeccing Ret at some point (thinking once I hit 80, but I might just do it tonight and start steamrolling quests). Maybe once 3.1 drops, I'll just dual-spec prot and ret...
Hope: They don't ask me to respec holy, because I hear they're having trouble finding enough healers for us with the hours we run. Flash of Light is a cool enough spell, but I don't feel like spamming it for hours on end...
We also have an overabundance of tanks (one of each, pally, warrior, druid, deathknight). We ran 3 in 25 man naxx tonight, with a DK tank running as DPS. He did come in handy on some fights though.
I was told not to respec since I'm still useful as prot on some fights.

One of the guys that I run with was pretty heavily hinting that I should respec from prot for our runs. I can't remember the exact conversation, though, but that was the feeling I got. We have at least 2 warrior tanks and a druid tank, as well as possibly a DK tank, so I'm definitely extraneous at that point. Also, I won't be running 25 mans. I'm just not on during the hours that I could get into one, plus I find 10 mans are much more fun than 25's.
On the plus side, we'll have someone with Blessing of Kings then, since the only other pally that I know of that we run with will probably be holy.
A Simple Pleasure: Got the new Prat, and finally abandoned Chatter. The downside to Chatter was that, despite being less bloated, it used a variable-width font for timestamps; accordingly, two identical entries with different timestamps would be sentences ending at different points on the screen. This was incredibly irritating!
Prat is smart and uses a fixed-width font for timestamps. Thank you, Prat.
EDIT: Okay, there's also ONE MILLION OTHER AMAZING FEATURES YESSSSS I LOVE YOU PRAT
does it still have a giant memory leak
Eat it You Nasty Pig. on
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
Prat's a really fucking intensive chat addon that colors names by class (it also references the names itself, so you don't need to precache them by opening your Social tabs or whatever), allows you to more easily abbreviate, rename, and recolor channels, change the font and font sizes of text, has a fixed-width timestamp feature, lets you copy URLs from messages, can create pop-up warnings based on text (like one for someone saying your name in /guild), dump text to logs, and ... I think that's all of the major features?
Beyond that it'll let you modify the frames in terms of size and what buttons are visible and stuff, but I don't fiddle with that much. It also comes equipped with a heinous memory leak, but you can dump that memory by alt-tabbing out and either letting your computer cycle its RAM on its own or manually defragging it with an application (I use Cacheman for this). There used to be an alternative without a memory leak ... I think it was called simply ChatMod? No idea if it got updated.
Addendum: Actually got my Darkmoon Card: Greatness just now, my third epic upgrade today. Had a [Titanium Impact Band] crafted to replace a quest ring, picked up [Dragonfriend Bracers] after hitting my third Exalted, and then the card. Didn't get a Heroic Gundrak in today which is kinda lame, but did some others and inched nearer my 80 required badges for the t7 chest (have 47 now). Yay pre-raid grind!, which is considerably more harsh than it would be just being in a raiding guild and getting these epics naturally. :x
Over 1000AGI and 3000AP unbuffed as a Rogue, Expertise capped and I hit the soft cap for Hit (Poisons never miss, ~315) with an Elixir. Actually, my Expertise is a couple points below the raid boss cap, it's only capped for 82 and below, but ... dunno how I'm going to resolve that. I want to bring both Hit and Expertise up naturally to their caps, and it looks like the t7 chest is the only easy and realistic way. The Exalted Ebon Blade chestpiece I have right now is nice, but all of the non-AP/non-AGI is armor penetration, which is dink while I'm still below to-hit caps.

Hate: Sylvanas bugging out while attempting For the Alliance!
Happy; guild has just started to get enough online to start 10 man nax. For alot of us, it's our first time there, so it might not be big to some, but I'm fairly happy in that we've gone in and killed ourselves a bunch of bosses.
Not so happy; Killed the instructor and some healing plate gloves and some cloth shoulders drop. I'm master looter, so start handing it out, except for the first time in 4 years of playing this game, I muck up loot and send the shoulders to the paladin in the raid. I feel a complete tit. Make a ticket to a gm, and he tells me to get the paladin who recieved the wrong loot, to make the ticket.
He starts to write the ticket, and realises the shoulders I gave him are BOE, and not BOP, so is able to just trade with the mage who won them.
So basically I got laughed at hard by the raid.
Further fun and games. We reach Heigan the Unclean, and a guy in the raid tells us, his mate in a big raiding guild has their group tank him on the platform. So we try that and wipe hard, at which point we're told that that group had a bunch of resto druids, and melee (so of course, that 300% increase in casting time wasn't much of an issue).
Happy: Half way to 76 on my Paladin, finally scored the tanking ring from AN this afternoon after 14 runs, the chest from Old Kingdom on my second and can start hitting up Violet Hold for some other minor blue upgrades.

Happy: Finally into the TBC blacksmithing shit on my Death Knight.
Hope: Blizzard should put in, like, new weaponsmith recipes in the next patch.
Hate: Current WotLK smithing armor being tank oriented.
Happy: After the guild killed Malygos with no other content up and like an hour left on everyone's flasks, we ran out and killed the Alliance faction leaders and got our black war bears.
Right after we killed Varian Wrynn (our first leader) and piled into the tram to go to IF, some other Horde raid showed up in Stormwind. Just in time to meet all the Alliance that had swarmed in to fight us. It sucked for them, but it worked out great for us, because all the Alliance stayed in Stormwind to fight that other raid while we breezed through IF, Darnassus, and Exodar pretty much unopposed. I'd post a picture of us on our war bears in Exodar (gogo portable mailbox), but I was too busy trying to edit my random mount macro to grab one while we were still posed on our bears. Maybe riz took one.
This. Apparently having ten people who HAD NOT ALREADY KILLED HIM learn Malygos 10 on Saturday made Sunday's 25-man a two-shot. We wiped for two or three hours on Friday night on 25-man, because "run away from the mouth of the giant dragon when he lands on you" and "stand inside the giant sparkly bubble" are apparently difficult concepts, but practice makes perfect or whatever. Then we tore through the Alliance bosses and had a lot of hilarious mishaps trying to navigate Stormwind Harbor and travel on boats.
Also yes I did get screenshots, but I went to sleep before resizing them. I have to try to remember to do that and the Malygos
/dismount
/userandom [flyable, nomounted] flyingmount 1, flyingmount 2, flyingmount 3
/userandom [noflyable, nomounted] mount 1, mount2, mount 3
This'll pick a random land mount in Azeroth, a random flying mount in Outland/Northrend
Question, does the "noflyable" code keep it from trying to use a flying mount in Northrend if you don't have Cold Weather yet?
Unfortunately not. You can circumvent this by removing the flyable section, then adding it in at 77 I suppose. There may be a more complex macro involved to account for it, but it's beyond my means.
I don't use a macro like this so I couldn't tell you how to do it, but you also have to tell it not to use a flying mount in dalaran.
The macro for mounting properly in Dalaran and Wintergrasp is stupid but it works. This is mine:
/script if (((GetZoneText()=="Dalaran") and (GetSubZoneText() ~="Krasus' Landing")) or (GetZoneText()=="Wintergrasp") or not IsFlyableArea()) then CallCompanion("MOUNT",2) else CallCompanion("MOUNT",3) end
/dismount [mounted]
(where 2 is my land mount and 3 is my flying mount, in the order they appear in the Mounts tab)
I'm not actually sure if you can make that randomize too but there are addons for that. I just have so many addons and only one mount of each type that I want to ride anyway. Pre-77 I just used a macro without the flyables in it entirely.
Smug: One of the other former DPSers in my guild who decided to reroll healer for Wrath is now leveling her warlock because healing was too hard or something. I know a lot of our healers assumed this would happen to everyone who wanted to reroll a healer (all two of us?) but I'm still enjoying it and doing well. The guy who rerolled from resto shaman to holy priest isn't doing so well but he's sticking with it at least.
Hate: More healers than tanks to go around for heroics. I have a slight advantage over some because my boyfriend is one of our tanks, but when he doesn't feel like heroics or goes to bed early, I'm kinda screwed. I just want to knock off the rest of the easy Glory of the Hero achievements, damn it.
Happy: Downed Saph last night after having no luck at all on the first night of attempts. People learned to stay out of the blizzard. Only had bad luck on the first attempt and had both ice-blocks at the extreme end of the raid so we couldn't all get to them. 2nd attempt he went down.
Happier: I was tanking him on my DK.
Hate: We started getting really bad lag on Kel'Thuzad, sometimes having frozen screens for 5-6 seconds. People died to rifts, etc. One person also got DC'd and reconnected in Westfall... We were actually doing really well considering this, and after 2 or 3 attempts we had a great phase 1 and 2, and then the off-tank gets turned to pulp by being ice-blocked the instant he picked up the adds.
Hatier: This happens again on the next attempt, but the healers manage to keep him up, everything is going fine phase 3, and bam! Dead off-tank from a rift that he didn't see (presumably because the adds take up an entire screen, and we still had lag).
Happiest: I picked up both adds and tanked the boss and them from 40% to 0%.
Meh: Off-tank won the 2-hander (he's dps main-spec), which would have been a huge upgrade to both my dps and tanking sets.
Comical: About 3 minutes after we hearthed, we all got booted from the server.
Sad: I was not one of the people that got free badge loot out of the fake-rollback thing after we were booted.
Happy: Finally got a in solid weekend's worth of play time, first time for about 2 months.
Happy: Wife and I hit 74
Happy: Finally ran Nexus
Hate: Nexus drops SUCK for warriors. Absolutely garbage all around
Hope: The other instances drop more balance rewards

Hate: Ran Violet Hold with a Druid tank who had trouble keeping aggro on multiple mobs. Why? Because he wasn't using Swipe. Why wasn't he using Swipe? Because "it not make aggro". Gargh!
Also, we had a DPS Feral with us too. At one point, he was whining about not getting heals. This was inbetween portals so there was no life danger or anything. I suggested that he could always shift out and heal himself. His response? "forgot all about that".

Happytime! - Get invited into a friend's group who's been running Heroics all day. Did Heroic Culling, and finished the timed event with 2 mins to spare. Guess who wins the drake? Yeah, I win the drake! Woooot.
More happy - Topped the damage meters wearing mostly quest blues with a few heroic blue/epics tossed in as an unholy dk. This makes me very happy considering the group was replete with 25-man Naxx epixxx.

To be fair, Feral healing in feral gear is the worst of all possible "healing class" specs, and it's bad to the point where you might as well not even have those healing spells to begin with. Like, he probably would have been better off eating than shifting out and trying to heal himself back to full with spells.
Hate: Having to re-learn all the market dynamics and niches after guild took a free server transfer. Oh and what the hell is up with the price of vellums?? Good grief. Lower the prices and they'll actually sell O.o
Hope: the RNG shows me some love as I start up heroics again.
Happy: New market dynamics are shaping up a lot better than old.
Hate: got ganked by a DK and a rogue (DK was named Dkforlife).
Happy: got revenge on Dkforlife when the rogue left.
Hate: he called a lvl 80 warrior to be his body guard from above, who decided to camp me (and who earlier I /saluted) this warrior also decided to /spit on me for getting revenge on Dkforlife...
Happy: I got at least a /shake off everytime said warrior ganked me and /spit on me.

that's so annoying (but thanks, i was looking for one of these)
I took a week off from playing. Just felt like playing some other games and reading. Attracted the ire of some of my guildies who had reached 80 and wanted to start doing heroics as I am the only reliable main tank in the guild. They threatened to kill one of my family members each day I wasnt 80 so I put my nose to the grinder this weekend. Went from one bubble into 78 to 7 bubbbles away from 80. I should be 80 by late Tuesday if not tonight.
Happy: Icecrown is a fucking trip and is utterly full of mining nodes. I mined 70 something saronite ores just questing (not even actively looking for the stuff).

Yeah, god forbid he'd have to cast 3, maybe 4 Healing Touches in a situation where there are no enemies in sight. That's just fucking unthinkable.
Hope: My rogue starts to get a little more fun. I like sneakin' around and killin' shit, but I wish I had a little more survivability.
Evasion? or Vanish and run?
It's not as bad as the 2.X'ish days of "chaining cleaves for EVERYONE!", but rogue survivability is getting iffy in pve again, in my experience.
We're one of the lowest armour classes in the game (most of the cloth wearers can put up self buffs that match or exceed what we wear) and while our HP pool has jumped again, many bosses seem to have some very nasty "fuck you, melee range folks! Hope you're built like a tank, hee hee hee" abilities.
As people gear up it'll become less of an issue, but right now it's a bit rough in some instances.
Doubly so when you're using Tricks of the Trade on the tank to make the run smoother, and the fucker turns a boss with a "Pound everything in front of me for 40,000 fucking damage" (fucking damage, like holy damage, being mostly unresistable) on top of you.
