So my wife likes to play Civ Rev alot (it's the leech that now has her hooked on video games! huzzah!) and I've been wanting to get a new game that she would enjoy and possibly that would allow 2p co-op so we can both play.
She doesn't like a lot of action all at once or trying to remember lots of commands, so CR worked well because you can take your time with keystrokes (and don't say Wii, that's why I have one so all the girls I know don't have to remember to press buttons!).
Thanks for your input.
I've never played a VP game, but I believe that it is somewhat relaxed in the sense that you don't have to be rapidly making split second decisions over a variety of input commands. Maybe it will appeal to your wife as it's a game focused on creating and maintaining an ecosystem.. not really like Civlization but it's a far cry from something like Halo or whatever. And Trouble in Paradise has some kind of Co-op mode.

Haven't tried VP yet, though I think my friend has it. Any XBL demo for it?
I have considered Rock Band/GHWT. We've got GH3 on Wii and I've been wanting to get one of the band games so we can at least do bass/guitar together (she can pretty much do easy pretty well).
I'll look more into VP and the new one...
My girlfriend loves the crap out of Viva Pinata and Animal Crossing- same kind of taste in games, she doesn't like super-complicated controls or action-heavy games. Neither of those games has co-op worth a damn though.
Rock Band, however, contains the distilled essence of co-operative play.

Otherwise.. eh... Rock Band?

Before that, she almost strictly stuck to RPGs. RPGs are good because its basically the book that moves at your own pace.
Try Lost Oddysey maybe?

She also plays Mirror's Edge and Katamari on the 360.
