Thermometer

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anybody knew of a good adult thermomenter, either ear or mouth kind. All of the ones that I have suck, and amazon's ratings of the ones they have doesn't give me warm fuzzy feelings (at least the ones I looked through). Does anybody have any preferences, since all I really want is accuracy, I don't care about speed/unpleasantness.

I've never had problems with the random instant-read ones I've bought from pharmacies. I have two right now (this and this), and have tested their accuracy against each other and they give very similar readings. I just took my temperature (feeling fine) and the Walgreens one read 98.4, the BD one 98.5. Anytime I've felt like I have a fever and have taken it they've given appropriate readings (higher than normal... and much higher when I'm really feeling the fever).

What makes you say the ones you have suck? You don't need a ridiculously super accurate thermometer to determine if you have a slight fever or not. Is there a specific need you have for the thermometer?
