Gentlemen, I propose we come to an agreement about Vs.
If we're playing Vs in a friends only game, there shall be no melee closet on No Mercy. Furthermore, in a friends only game on Blood Harvest, the house shall not be used in the finale. Either barn is fine.
If it's four of us Vs pubs, then we do whatever we want, other than the No Mercy ramp, which is lame as balls.
Just a thought. It gets rather boring when you can just set up upstairs or in the gun room and be untouched until the tank comes, then rinse and repeat.

In either case in the blood harvest finale blinding them with a boomer and then simply clawing at them with hunters is very effective. Like, taking two green helath people down into the red with just one hunter. Even then they still have to go outside to fight the tank.
I'm finding that there are effective tactics to most all melee spam in most all the problem locations but they center around getting a boomer in there and then following up with hunter swipes and pounces. It can work pretty well against melee closets and such.
I find that while a well coordinated team does have a chance at hitting people when they're in the gun room it isn't all that likely. I guess I wouldn't call it cheap as much as I would call it a bit boring.
The melee closet however, I would call cheap. Because even a good boomer/hunter swipe combo isn't very likely there.
Anywho, moving on. I'm enjoying the smoker more and more these days.

Also, I don't know that "cheap" is the right word to describe the spots we're talking about. I would say "any spot on any map where the survivors can get walls against their backs and sides and funnel infected into a killing zone is kind of lame" but then isn't the whole point of the game to try and maximize your chances of success against the zombie horde? There's some line you can cross where it becomes cheesy but I think that's a really subjective thing.
the fact that both teams have equal opportunity to use any portion of the map as the survivors sort of removes any idea of a certain part being cheap for me

I'm curious if anyone else has really really terrible disconnect problems with this game. I have forwarded all the ports valve has listed, turned off all "conflicting" programs and shut off windows firewall, but half the time there will just be a night were every time I try and get a game steam loses connection, and nothing I can do will fix it.

Got it in the mail today, installed it and runs great. I actually don't get much lag, it seems like it is just the download speeds that are terrible right now.
