Need help cant get sound to work on pc

Hey guys just need a little help with my pc...i just wiped and and installed the sound card drivers from my windows cd....it works after i install it but when i shut down my computer and restart it the there is no sound...i tried installing the newest drivers but it wont let me says the drivers dosent match the hardware. how can i get the sound to work on my pc...i have a sound blaster audigy
