So, those of you with a DS should have played Meteos in some form or another(Those that have not need to be slapped right away.) For those of you unfortunate people not in the know, meteos is a puzzle game made by developers Q?, you pick a planet, match up icons in a row of 3 or more vertically or horizontally and launch everything above these icons at your opposing planet.
Edit: Further elaboration for those still confused, the planets you pick also have gravitational effects. So some will launch your meteos instantly, while others will require several ignitions(lining up 3 or more) to get them off the screen. You can have a screen wide ignition going, while you are frantically trying to line them up to get it off the screen, only to have them launch a small amount at you, knocking you down.
This version lacks the unlocking style of the original. Gone is the collecting of specific meteos through gameplay to unlock planets, and items. Items are gone with the new planet attacks taking their place, and the occasional bomb that destroys things around it and in diagonals. They are not your friends, hence why they look like skulls I suppose.
However, you can unlock accessories, which are little items you can add to an online avatar, you pick one of the planets, and add an accessory to it.
The modes it has are
Single Player -
Vs. COM: A 1v1 match against a computer, you pick your planet, and the COMs, select difficulty, bombs, and if planet attacks are on.
Mission Mode: Go on a quest to defeat the planet Meteo. You play a series of battles on a variety of planets, with a 'unknown' planet before you take on Planet Meteo.
Attack Mode: 3 types of play
1-Minute Time Attack: See how well you can do in 1 minute.
100-Meteo attack: See how fast you can launch 100 meteos.
Challenge Attack: Go for a high score up until you are destroyed, since being destroyed, you know, inhibits score achieving.
Multiplayer -
Local Vs. Mode: Play on a single 360 against a friend.
Matchmaking Vs. Mode: Has ranked and unranked, as of when I checked earlier there was a solitary person playing.
This game was played with a stylus, and now it's on a 360 pad(I prefer using the Fighting Stick EX2 joystick) but now it's on the 360 for 800 funbucks.

In any case, the game plays fairly well without the stylus. It is slightly slower paced it seems like, but that's all good.

Also, the planet attack dealios are neat, though I liked the crazy items in the first one better.
