Huh. That seems rather strange to me. So are horde or alliance in the same phase for UC? If so, alliance have never done it the same time I've done the quest (on beta and live).
I have no idea. It was just a source of massive confusion during a city raid.

I don't think so. Separate phase for both factions. Which is a damn shame, because if you could get things to work, it would have made that event even more epic.
At the end, when both sides are facing off in the throne room? Just how awesome would it have been to see a bunch of players on the other side as well? It sure as hell would have made that brief rumble before Jaina steps in all the more awesome.

I'm on Blood Furnace and it seems like every single person over 55 is a Death Knight. That includes me, but i've done 10 instances today and done them with 3 different parties and it was either 5 DK's, 4 DK's and a shaman, or 4 DK's and a mage. Is it like this on every server right now?

2-3 DKs in every run at most, but only because the people I usually run with have put their foot down. I did once see 5 DKs leaving Hellfire Ramparts together.

Same here. Battlegrounds is 75% DKs pre 70. Hellfire peninsula is about 85% DKs. Fucking annoying class to fight as well.

I've done a run like this.
Actually, one of the DKs left after the first boss so we four-manned our way through the rest of the instance. A couple of the DKs were higher levels though (64 and 67).

Haha, we did a 5 DK run of ramps and BF and only wiped once, and that was during the second boss fight of BF. I was 67, and the others were I think 62, 62, 63, 65.
I really want to do Mana Tombs, but no one on my server wants to do it I have been trying for two days. But im only 4 bars from level 67, so then 1 more level and I can quest in northrend.
This is also why it's annoying to quest in an area when they're your faction, too.
"No, I was just running at that mob for no reason. Help yourself to my mobs, just yank them from out in front of me. That's fine. I noticed you're a Blood Elf with umlauts and assorted diacritical marks in your name, yes."
Following questhelper just makes the problem that much worse.
There was no incentive to help, after seeing how high dps I could get I just afked at the boss fights.
Yeah I pretty much agree. The story itself was awesome, but the actual battle was just "jesus christ will the boss die already holy fuck there are 2 more and i've already been here 20 minutes."
As long as you make it known before people join then whatever. A lot of people will probably think you're a jackass, but that's about as far as it's going to go.
On the other hand I joined a group a week or two ago on my DK after a "lf1m dps for heroic <something>". Rogue inviting. So I get in the group and the warrior tank is like, "find another dps." And the rogue is like, "we got one, we're full now, let's go." And the warrior and him repeated that another couple times. Finally the warrior, "i don't want anyone rolling on my tank gear." So I'm like, "that's fine, I don't want your tank gear." And he replies with, "FIND ANOTHER DPS OR FIND ANOTHER TANK."
So I just said I would bail rather than deal with such a dumbass and dropped. A few seconds later the rogue asked me if I wanted to rejoin because he kicked the tank for being an idiot. I rejoin, we find a new tank in like 20 seconds, and blammo gg.
I had a guy whispering me before a H-hos run to not roll against him on the rather awesome leggings that drop there. He even went so far as to say "I will give you 350g if they drop and you don't roll on them"
I have a question
I have the Nat Pagle's Extreme Angler FC-5000 fishing pole for several years now with the +5 fishing line
I was thinking about buying the Tuskkar one and putting my extra +5 line on it
The reason why is because I am usually asleep during the fishing contest so getting that pole would take some planing

The Tuskarr one is -5 fishing, but +50 awesome.
It basically saves you an Awesome Bauble.

So with various upgrades from heroics, I'm sitting at +11% hit. And I have the +3% hit Talent for Destruction spells. Am I good for 10/25 mans?
I just won Valorous T7 helm in naxx off of kelthuzad. I know that's no biggy for a lot of you but I'm in shock right now. This was my first 25 man raid and everything. I'm so happy
I just got done changing mains from a warrior to a priest and had to make a run from 42 to 71 (To catch up with my wifes warlock) and the number tells I got as I leveled from 59 to 68 to come and do Ramparts/Blood furnace was INSANE. at least once an hour for a week.

Ideally, you want to be hit-capped for enemies 3 levels higher than you, which is 17% for spells. So while it's not optimal, you can probably do raids and get the remaining 3% you need from raid gear.
Edit: Unless you have a balance druid in your raids, in which case, you're good to go.
Even though I have done it a lot more often, leveling in the "old world" seems not nearly as bad as having to grind through Outlands. Especially HFP is a big turnoff for me. If only I could skip straight to Nagrand.

Before my Death Knight I had leveled two characters through the Outland, so it wasn't that big a deal leveling my DK up in there. What annoyed me was the week before I hit the Outland leveling up my Mining so that I could mine there.
And that is why I haven't spent any time leveling my Warrior or Priest since hitting 71 with my DK. I don't want to level up a second character in the same area my DK just left behind.
The only heroics I haven't done yet are HoS and Occulus. Every group I've had for HoS has always failed at the bit with the dwarf and the giant faces and I just haven't gotten around to Occulus yet (I don't think it has anything I need there).
All depends on the group makeup for (h)HoL. In my guild there is a Death Knight tank and Shaman healer who round up a crew and go in there often, and I try and tag along with them if possible. Never have problems if I am in their crew. And these crazy fuckers warn people in advance: we dps through Loken's nova, running is for bitches. We down him every time (with the occasional clothy casualty - but sacrifices must be made).

And my poor Death Knight that couldn't afford an icon.
I haven't run HoS on heroic, now that I think on it. I really need to get in there - I believe epic dps plate bracers drop in there.
Heroic Occulus can suck my balls. The 3rd boss is a total cock sucker. Can't get past the asshole for nothing. I hear rumor that groups should be light on melee dps, and try and bring more ranged. That ice-aura crap really messes me up.

What the fuck. I've never done a heroic that hard. Fuck that stupid instance.
It's not hard. That last boss is a bitch if you actually try to do the fight like it was intended. If you have everyone just dps their ass off and your healer heal their ass off while everyone stands under his feat the damage is negligible.
The fact that you have to be 20 yards away and it's about a 5 second cast doesn't leave you much time to move. If you move after he starts casting you're pretty much fucked already and are going to take 10K damage. However, if your ping is less than 100ms, that fight is pretty much easy if everyone else can handle the run too. But knowing your average wow player, that is about as likely as my guild getting the undying achievement for heigan.

I see the cast bar start, begin running about a second into it, and still make it out in plenty of time. If WoW run speed is 7 yards per second, that gives you at least about 2 seconds to start with.
If you run and take 10k damage, you die, but if you stand still and take 10k damage, it's negligible?

I think its becuase not only do you get the 10k damage from the nova, but the additional damage from the aura. Might as well just stay in...

My account got hacked. and I am not sure how. I have done a mal-ware scan, I haven't shared my account ever. Complete virus scan.
What the hell.
Ouch! I showed my authenticator to a co-worker of mine the other day, and now she's thinking of getting one too. Especially after the latest message you see after entering the game that says something about an increase in the number of compromised accounts.
regarding HoL -- I always see people run straight, which means they run through the boss which greatly reduces the distance they can get away. Really helps if they are expert mouse turners who do a complete 180 and run
Yeah, I do the same thing I did in SL. Walk up to the boss, rotate camera to face behind me. Once I see the cast bar, hold down both mouse buttons for instant turn+run.

The aura, and the fact that everyone's running and the healer still needs to reposition. That 10K is negligible if the healer isn't moving.
I was well outside his range and I still got hit by it somehow, but yeah, the aura afterwards is what really gets everyone and just staying at his feet is just as easily a dps race until the healer runs out of mana.
