I don't do buildups so let's start with my GAME OF THE YEAR
definitely fallout 3. it also wins my shooter and rpg of the year awards too, mainly because it is the only new example of those I have played this year, really
handheld game of the year for me is definitely Dragonball Origins, it is fun stuff
most badass design and overall polish in a game goes to dead space
gta iv wins "best game that was not as mindblowingly awesome as it was first made out to be so people shit on it but is still really good"
best ps3 exclusive game goes to mgs4
uh I think that's it
oh yeah best game on my cellphone goes to battle reversi
it was either that or sudoku

I didn't find anything better in 2008.
When the cashier tried to sell me a copy of 'My Whores and Me' I was elated, but when I found out the cashier just had an accent I was immediately disappointed. Not to be discouraged, I later found that 'My Horse and Me' was really a sleeper hit.
