Basically what the title said.

We want to work out some shots for our next film beforehand so that when it comes time to shoot we know exactly what we need and can even watch the film BEFORE we see it, in a way. Something with camera movements would be very cool, if such a thing exists.

Use a trial version of Flash. that's how I do a lot of my preproduction work.

If you've got hand drawn boards already, obviously any video editing program (get trials!) will do.

CeltX has storyboarding features, but it's more of a slideshow playback than a movie playback. Same deal pretty much though.

Ok, I think I'll try that.

I'm going to have to learn flash, aren't I?

Also what is the down side to the trial version? Watermarks?

Will I be able to do an entire 1 hour 45 minute film with it?

There is no watermark or anything on the trial version.

Obviously, you should make new flash files per scene of your film (.fla files get less stable as they get huge). Export them and use a video editing program or even quicktime pro to assemble them if you want to watch the whole feature.

Thanks...So it sounds like there's no downside to this trial version unless I take more than the 21 days?

    That's right.

Exporting .mov from Flash can be kind of shitty too, so I'd recommend exporting image sequences and putting them together in quicktime or in virtualdub or something similar.
