Need Music for Strippers

BuddiesBuddies Registered User regular
edited December 2008 in Help / Advice Forum
So my brother is comming home from the Navy for 18 days of leave. My friends and I are throwing a party and have lined up two strippers for a couple hours. Now, I do not go to strip clubs, or clubs for that matter so I am at a loss for what girls like to take their clothes off to in terms of music. Both for a group of people (up to 20, male and female) and for private dances.

This is what I have gathered so far.

Timberlake - Bringing Sexy Back ??? Not too sure, but I think it works
Akon Ft. Snoop - I wanna fuck you
Britney Spears - Gimmie More
Nelly - Hot in here ??? Is that too old?

Even though they are strippers, I want them to respect me for picking great music for them to dance too. I know there is a good possibility of them bringing their own music(If they are worth their money), but I've been to a bachelor party where we got a bait and switch on some girls and they had no music with them.

What are your suggestions? What songs do you like to dance too? Now which songs make you want to get naked and rub your naughty bits on strangers?

The one time I went to a strip club, that was the first damn song I heard. It was an ill omen.

Honestly though, if you could contact the strippers and ask them what they like to dance to, that would probably be the way to go.

Cherry Pie, by Warrant. It's a strip-club standard to the point that's it is a parody of itself.

You may want to ask the strippers what songs they like to strip to. Other than that... hip hop, some 90s rock and shit like Motley Crue.

Does that include Oasis? Would that be a good idea?

it depends on the girls. some girls like to strip to fast stuff, some to slower stuff.

I'm generally distracted and not paying attention to the music, but I know I've heard a lot of Tool when there are boobies in my face.

and one song I've heard A LOT is Check on It by Beyonce

It's going to depend on the stripper. At my club, we do a rock set and the rest of the sets are hip hop style music really. I'm personally sick of the music the DJs play, only one of them puts on decent rock.

Some of the popular songs I hear each night-

    M.I.A- paper planes
That Katey Perry song...I kissed a girl and i liked it?
NIN- Closer (thought I love to dance to this one)
    Rhinna- Umbrella
    Fergie- Glamorous
    That damn Cyclone song
    Sean Kingston- Suicidal

...And many more, blech. But really, anything with a good beat works if you don't know their tastes. Chances are they'll bring their own music though, most girls prefer to.

"Pour Some Sugar on Me" by Def Leppard is definitely not the same song as "Cherry Pie" by Warrant. "Cherry Pie" has absolutely no lyrics about sugar or pouring for that matter.

Wow, look at me, being stupid. Can we go back a few hours before I publicly said stupid things?

I don't know why I thought they were the same song, but hey, we've already established that I said stupid things.

Also, while this thread is great, wouldn't a stripper bring their own music?

each dancer has their own style and their own music preferences that match that style

that said, three of the songs in the OP, to me, sound like poor stripping songs; just because a song plays at a club doesn't mean it's a good song to strip to

here are some ideas... listen to these songs and find stuff similar to it if you like the sound (most of them are R&B, as a warning)

Akon - I Wanna Fuck You (this is the only one you got right, in my opinion)
Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar on Me
    EMF - Unbelievable
    Baby Bash - Suga Suga
Eve - Let Me Blow Yo Mind
    Brandy - Full Moon
Britney Spears - I'm a Slave for You; I Love Rock and Roll
    Ciara - Candy Shop
Christina Milian - Dip it Low
    Next - Too Close
    Crazy Town - Butterfly
    112 - Peaches and Cream
    Fergie - Glamorous
Gwen Stefani - The Sweet Escape
    J.Lo - I'm Real
Janet Jackson - All For You
Mariah Carey - Touch My Body; Honey
Montell Jordin - Get it On Tonight
    Ms. Teeq - Scandalous
    R Kelly - Ignition
    Rihanna - Disturbia
    Sisqo - Thong Song
    T-Pain feat Akon - Bartender
TLC - Creep; Diggin' On You
Toni Braxton - You're Making Me High
Usher - You Make Me Wanna
    Warrant - Cherry Pie

The best "stripper music" always seems to be trashy 80s' hair metal ("Cherry Pie" by Warrant; "Poundcake" by Van Halen), some late 90's hip-hop pop ("Thong Song" by Sisquo) and maybe some old-school Prince.
