Hey, I'm looking for a place I can host music I make myself that I can link for a few close acquaintances to listen to. I'm not expecting much traffic at all, and am defintiely not a band, most of it is just drunken improv/fooling around, but I've had some people ask to hear it who can't easily get to my place.
Is there a good site for this kind of thing? I consider most of it temporary and would only need a few songs up at a time, but I'd want to be able to link them directly (like in blog posts or whatever) or at least through a service that didn't require people to sign up for an account to listen to them.
Free would be ideal, or something relatively inexpensive and reliable.

Should work. After you upload a file it gives you a direct link to it, so no one has to join anything.
