I really feel that stealing videogames from the Portuguese has brought us closer together as a forum.
Is anyone else not wearing any pants? I'm not wearing any pants. The lights are off so I can't tell if I'm the only one not wearing pants. Have I read this situation wrong?
It got mixed reviews, I played the demo a while back but its entertaining enough that given the chance to kick things into spikes and off cliffs for free, I will kick people into spikes and off cliffs.
so did anyone start a dark messiah thread yet? i'm hit and miss on my feelings about combat. sometimes it seems like the collision is off and sometimes i'm upset that my telekinesis spell doesn't let me throw enemies.
Anyone else think this link would be a good thing to have in the OP as well as future Steam OPs?
Hey, they've got Sega Rally Revo listed for $10, but they also have Sega Rally listed for $20. When I went to check to see if that was the original Sega Rally, I get the This item is currently unavailable in your region message. I'm in the US.
Can anyone overseas check and see if this is the original Sega Rally for me?
I know about Revo, but that link has two different games listed at two different prices, and the old press releases from back when Sega announced they were throwing games up on Steam listed Sega Rally and Sega Rally Revo as two separate games.
Also, that link Exin posted has them listed separately, with Sega Rally (not Revo) linking here, which is the page that gave me the region error.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/10400/ says SEGA Rally and it seems to be the game that's called SEGA Rally Revo in NA. The screenshots look similar to the box art found on Wiki and it lists a 2007 release date.
Yeah, I just saw that it went from $49.99 to $19.99, so that means it's not the original. Thanks for checking.
Kinda lame that it's listed under different names in different territories, but not as lame as the fact that it's $19.99 elsewhere, but only $9.99 in the US.
Dark Messiah is great, until the spiders. To a lesser degree, then undead who can poison you, but mostly the spiders, who will always poison you. It is a poison that does not wear out, you have to burn an antidote to remove it, and antidotes are extremely limited initially. And there are just so many spiders, and they aren't fun to fight at all.

Is it possible to gift games that are cheaper or only available in US to Europa?

I believe their poison wears off after you get down to 1 HP.

I hate myself for playing too many games and not reading the forum enough.
Funny, I hate myself for the opposite reasons!
edit: Also, my brother installed Mount & Blade. He was complaining about it at first, saying he didn't think he'd be playing it too much because he was frustrated with aspects of it. Nevertheless, he must've played it for about 7 hours yesterday.

Did the DoW2 Beta go live last night?
Also, where is the GTA IV patch for steam? My steam tells me GTA IV is 100% up to date. Man, I wish Steam would just update my games when I'm not around instead of making me run the game to update it.

Try joining the latest Steam Client beta. Supposedly it fixes some problems with the auto-updater.
GamersGate announced today that it will offer its entire catalog “client-free” beginning January 28, 2009. With this new feature, GamersGate is poised to step to the front of the digital distribution industry.
“GamersGate will now offer gamers more convenient access to their games without forcing them into a client,” said Theodore Bergquist, CEO of GamersGate. "We want to offer the most accessible experience with the quickest loading times and this is a big step in that direction. With the evolving nature of retail, we’re extremely pleased to help reinvent the process by putting the power in the gamers’ hands.”
GamersGate will offer its entire catalog from over 90 publishers including Eidos, SEGA, THQ, 2K, and, Bethesda “client free.”
GamersGate has aggressively provided the digital distribution arena with some of the most desired services including GameNerve and the recently announced mictrotransactions software, MicroSuite.
If you haven't used it, their client kind of sucks. It not that bad, but it is not even slightly as good as steam. Like, you sometimes have to manually deal with serial numbers, and patches are not as well integrated.
I can see enjoying GamersGate a lot more without having to have the client installed.

Ooh, I'm going to do that too; my game never seem to update until I run them for some reason.

They do lots of strategy games, and you can get games like penumbra, mount and blade, introversion games and actually a growing amount of big normal games (like Fallout 3, The witcher and Bionic Commando Rearmed) from them.
"Games without a client!" doesn't sound like an advantage to me because Steam just works so great, and it's the only digital distribution client I've really used. (Granted, Steam was pretty crappy at release.)

To me, if done well, no client is way better than a bad client.
It's basically like piracy but easier, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are targeting the (very real) set of people that "don't want anything like steam on their PC", who might currently be pirating games, and trying to convince them not to.
While Suds's Steam sigs are really nice, but I just took a look at http://steamcard.com/ and I rather like this design:
It seems pointless to have the name twice and I don't see the purpose of the stars, though.

The design is kind of a ripoff of Gamercards though.

Yeah it is, but it looks nice.
Ehh, I prefer having a screenshot from the game there too, plus it's dynamic.

I don't know how I should feel since I'm Portuguese, though.
Also, I like to think this is all my fault.
All of these posts please me greatly.

Sweet, thanks. I was just browsing this thread and now found out about the free game I missed out on, and happened to get here at the right time.

It's the game known as Sega Rally Revo in NA.
Dark Messiah is a fun game, but it has a tendency to crash.
Also, that link Exin posted has them listed separately, with Sega Rally (not Revo) linking here, which is the page that gave me the region error.
