One other thing I want is that Super Mario stylus case. I'm a Mario whore.
I really hope they make the soundtrack to Super Mario Galaxy available.
I really wanna save up the points for the Game and Watch Collection since it's limited and I'm a huge whore like that, but my biggest is that something awesome like the Mario Galaxy Soundtrack will be made available the day after I trade in.

You are right though, having that limited DS case would look nice on my shelf.
So after reading about the Platinum Status or something resetting once a year - is it wise since I have such a huge backlog of unregistered games, to get myself up to 800 points for game and watch, and then sit on the rest for a year to help boost me back up?
Thats assuming they dont add anything else I want in the next year...

So with the platinum status--if I use all my coins and it sends my counter back to 0, does that mean I'm not long a platinum member?
And being a platinum member gives you the option to get the premium prizes--are these with coins or can I buy them with actual monies?
It'll be lame to be platinum status, have the option to get, say, the SNES classic controller, but then not have enough coins to get the damn thing.
From the wording it sounds like you just have to earn 600 coins in a year, not necissarily keep them. And it also sounds like you don't have to spend coins or money on the platinum prizes, hey just send it to you for free.

That's what I'm planning on doing.
Same here, but only because it's impossible anyway to get anything done fast with the site. I'll be lucky if I manage to get to 800 points by Dec 31st.
So... what kind of stuff do we want to see in here?
Personally, I've love a DVD that's basically an anthology of Nintendo commercials, from the NES to the present, presented in "better than YouTube" quality.

That would pretty much be worth it just for the original Smash Bros commercial, although getting the Zelda song ("octarites, leevers, tektites too...") would be the Holy Grail.
I'd love to see just some crazy and unique things. Kinda like the Hanafunda cards. Or more crazy games like Tingle's Balloon Fight.
I'm tempted to pick up the Hanafunda cards for the unique factor once I get the coins. But having that limited DS game & watch would be awesome too, even if I never play it much.
This is kind of dumb right now. None of my old stuff is being counted, and the two VC/WiiWare titles I purchased very recently are showing up, but nothing can be done in regards to them
I sent them a quick message that I have nothing on my to-do list and yet a ton of games registered from early last year.
Try being a member since 2003 and somehow having a blank page. I'm not going to be home until after 10 tonight; hopefully it'll be sorted out by then...

What Nintendo says about VC/WW games not showing up (from the FAQ):
I've linked my Club Nintendo profile to my Wii Shop Channel. Why aren't my Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels showing up in my list of registered products?
Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels downloaded prior to creating the Club Nintendo link will not be displayed. Please email us by clicking here to have your previously-downloaded Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels added to your Club Nintendo account. You will need to provide us with all pertinent information (name, email address, serial number, game titles, etc.). Not providing all of the pertinent information will increase the time it takes to find a solution and receive a reply. You can also call us at 1-800-255-3700. Representatives are available from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., Pacific Time, 7 days a week.
Please note that this Wii Shop Channel/Club Nintendo link is not created when you register your serial number using Club Nintendo's Product Registration program. This link is created through the Wii Console (Wii Shop Channel). Click here for more information on how to link your Wii Shop Channel to your Club Nintendo account.

I have none of the VC/Wii Ware games on that list. On the one hand it's good since I don't have to deal with CS, but on the other I've missed out on some good stuff.
List seems rather arbitrary, however I have registered a number of games on each list.
Also,
Why aren't my Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels showing up in my list of registered products?
Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels downloaded prior to creating the Club Nintendo link will not be displayed.
I've done nothing and it still shows all of my VC/Wiiware/random channels as being registered to me, like the rest of my games. Just no coin credit.
Goddamn website is running slooooooow. It also boots you after about 2 minutes of downtime. That said, the survey taking sorta sucks, but whatever. It's something to do in down time tonight.
I signed up and had all my registered games transfer over OK, but no coin credit. The site doesn't seem to like Firefox at all, so I switched to IE. After logging in and then out, I noticed that I do have surveys listed in my TODO list on the main page after logging in - so I should get credit for that at least. Isn't there supposed to be coin credit for just registering the game or do you only get that after doing the survey?

That list of eligible Wii Shop games is confusing as hell. Not a single game that I own is on that list, probably because none of them are by Nintendo.

They're all recent as of a certain date, aren't they?

Oh, that makes sense. Nintendo hasn't released shit lately.
Maybe this is the start of a long-running April Fool's joke. They'll keep it up until April 1st, when they reveal that the whole site was just a gag. That would be epic. (I don't know whether that would be epic fail or epic win... maybe both at once )

On VC/WiiWare/Channels
You need to link your Club Nintendo account details to your console's shop channel. You may have already done this on Nintendo's old product registry site, and in that case they should all be there under the "Account" tab.
Very few of them are actually elligble for points. I have quite a few titles on my Wii, but only Tetris Party applies. It is now listed when I go to "Earn Coins," but it asks for a PIN for it, which doesn't actually exist for WiiWare (or VC) games.
I'm sure it's just the system being stupid... give it a few days.
Well my to-do items have started to show up, but I did Twilight Princess and it still says I have to do it and I haven't gotten any coins for doing it yet. IE7 definitely is running faster (though not by much) than Firefox on the site, but I'm just going to wait until people have let the server recover, or until Nintendo gets a beefier server up and running before I bother trying to do them all. Expiration dates on these things aren't until 2010 at the earliest, have till 2012 for some of them!
