Considering it's price in points? Probably pretty high. Even right now it'd probably sell for a high price.

I wouldn't bet on it. The Game and Watch Collections are a bit of a pain to get, but their sell prices are generally between $20-$25.

Yeah I really don't see the appeal of Game & Watch. I doubt they were even considered fun back when they were first released in the 80's.

They were considered fun the same way cup-in-ball, hoopstick, or kick the can were considered fun: that was the most advanced way of having fun at the time.

I suppose it's all in how you define "fun". These are just old-fashioned twitch games, meant to kill time while riding the bus or waiting in line. I'd love to get all the G&W collections and Ball, personally. I just wish I had enough points to get them all. I could get Ball alone, but then I'd only have a few hundred points left. Not enough to get one of the collections.

Perhaps its time I sat down and finished all those backlogged surveys I have...

Some of the G&W games, like Cement Factory (or whatever it's called), are simplistic fun along the lines of, say, Tetris. Nothing remarkable by today's standards, but still fun.

I still own the old G&W Mario Bros. that I played as a kid. It was a lot more fun than the old hand me down action figures and toys I had to play with and it was portable. Plus it was double awesome because I put a batmobile sticker on it.

For those of you getting the G&W: I'm curious as to exactly how many Nintendo games you bought in the last two years...

I can't get it yet but it wouldn't be that hard.

Every Wii game is about 50 coins, every DS game is about 30 coins. More if you did the whole pre-register thing and then registered shortly after the game came out; I think that's up to 20 extra coins per game? The 3DS is coming out soon too which will probably be 250 coins.

    3DS = 250
    5 bonus surveys = 50
    5 "intend-to-buys" + registering at launch = 100
    10 DS games = 300
    10 Wii games = 500

    1200 coins total.

10 games per system is really not a lot. Or you could subtract the 3DS and add in a DSi, or take out the system completely and it's still only 15 Wii games (or less if you got Wii Fit which is 80).

EDIT: I forgot about downloadable games too which are at least 10 coins each. Here's the list of every coin that has passed through my account so far, around 1500:

Also, I finally made Platinum for the first time ever. I always manage to make Gold, but now, I will finally get a reward that isn't a small desk calendar.

I easily made it to Platinum, almost immediately after the new "year" started. I bought a few games but it was mostly because I had a backlog of surveys. Next year I'll get to Platinum again because I'll be able to register the 3DS. That will be 4 Platinum years out of four. 8-)

Once I hit platinum, I always hold any other purchases until the next year. I'm going three years of platinum in a row and will have enough for a fourth next year with what I have plus whatever comes out that I buy next year.

Do keep in mind that you can still register your purchases (To qualify for early registration and whatnot) just when it pulls up the survey to get the points for registering make sure you don't fill it out, that way you can save those points for next year.

Just as a heads up, the hanafuda cards are REALLY tiny.

    2.2 X 1.25 inches

They do look pretty damn nice though.

Thanks. I don't mind that they're small. They're hanafuda cards--they're supposed to be that small. Mostly, I like the original art on them. Thankfully, if I ever have the urge to play hanafuda, I can just fire up Clubhouse Games. These are mostly for just lookin' at. Like Pokémon cards.

People are starting to get their Balls.

...There's not really a good way to say that.

Balls are arriving in people's mailboxes?

    Nintendo is shipping Balls?

    Anyway.

Also, some good information out of Japan:
