The platinum prize is only a specific thing until the date they end the Club year, June something. After that it will be different the next year, but we don't find out what it will be until like a month before the deadline (April/May).
Essentially, as far as we know, nobody will be able to acquire that statuette ever again! Except for via ebay.
So if I make Platinum say by the end of March, I can get the statuette? Or does my status go on hold until the next reveal?

No, no one can get the statue again (except ebay as mentioned :P). There is a new reward every July for if you reached platinum in that year-span since the last reward was given out. So you will get whatever the new reward is.
Nobody can get the statuette, that was last year. Your status is accepted and you will definitely be able to get the next platinum reward, whatever it is.
You have to keep it in mind though and notice when it is revealed so you can confirm the order. You can also choose the lesser reward which has always been a calendar thus far.

I now have a second DQIX code that I can't use because I registered it the first time I bought it (it was a dumb impulse trade-in, and I wanted the game back). If anyone can use this for coins, PM me. First PM gets the code.

So I moved to the US recently and bought a Wii. Am I correct in assuming that there are ten extra coins per Wii/DS game for filling out the survey? The Wii came with a pin for the bundled software, does that mean it will be 120 points for Wii Sports and NSMB Wii?
Already have a few imported US DS games, I'm wondering if I will hit 600 coins with it by July or whether I should hold back on registering.

There's been a change in survey expiration dates
•Do surveys expire?
Yes. In general, Product Registration surveys expire after 7 days, and Post Play surveys expire 120 days after registration. Please review the date listed next to the survey in your To-Do list to ensure that you take the survey before it expires.
So it looks like the "register code but wait to do survey" trick won't work anymore
There's no way I remember to come back for the survey within 7 days. That hardly ever happens. Guess I'll have to start setting reminders or something.

The product registration survey is the one that pops up immediately after you punch in the code.
Post plays, which show up a few weeks after you register the game, are good for 4 months. I'm sure you can manage to fill 'em out within 4 months.
Fortunately the 4-month expiration only applies to new registrations. I'm still sitting on a bunch of post-plays that don't expire until 2013 or later (White/Black are good until 2016!).
