Hmm I was able to do the OoT survey no problem. I would say one of two things - maybe you're finding them right as they put the surveys up so lots of people are trying to do them so that's why you can't get through right away. That or maybe some browser incompatibility? I'm using Firefox 4 and don't seem to be having any problems.
I think I found this one, and the last, through GoNintendo. If there was a problem at the time, they'd probably have said something...
It shows up later, but... yeah, I don't know.
I do need to update Firefox. It just keeps asking me at the worst times.

Hay Guys! I have a question. I currently just hit 635 coins for platinum status. In order to be elligible for the platinum reward nintendo sends out, Do I have to let them expire for the June deadline? Or can I spend the coins now on stuff and still get the platinum reward?

Getting close to July and I'm still 200 coins away from platinum status. Need to go through my "intend to buy" list and follow through and actually buy a few of these..

Do you get the full 50 points for the Wii Select re-released titles? That might be a easy way to grab some points.

I'd already be at platinum this year if Nintendo didn't cheap out on coins for the 3DS system.
This thread scared the hell out of me when I read that coins expire. Ran home after work thinking "MY COINS, NOT MY COINS"..but luckily I still had two years on them. I also took the chance to register some new stuff with the club and I'm 10 coins from Platinum, at which point I tried to register my Pikachu N64 fully knowing it wouldn't work. Had to give it a shot.

Soon you should get a post play survey on the things you registered that'll give you the ten coins you need.

Haha, looking at my coins I'm at 590 - sad that a few are going to overflow when I register OoT.... well, maybe.. I have a few surveys saved up, wonder if I can hold off registering until the cut-over and then still snag my 10 early reg. coins (it says I have four weeks from launch)
P.S. - I like this new coin interface - it's a lot easier to tell how many coins you've earned for a period and how you earned them (also when they expire - boo)

Thanks for letting me know that but I somehow already broke the 600 coin mark after checking just now. Strange as I only had 430 coins and when I registered a DSi, it told me I would receive an additional 160 coins after linking it to my account and waiting 30 minutes. At this point I decided to try the Pikachu N64 for kicks, got nothing and logged off, but after checking just now, I have 620 coins instead of the 590 coins math says I am suppose to have.
Guess that "you entered an invalid PIN" message was actually a "wink wink, we know how to take care of our N64 Pikachu owners"
I just wish that elite points carried over from one year to the next. I understand that Nintendo's trying to encourage ongoing support, but those surveys are also used for feedback. I've hit elite all three years with hundreds of points worth of registrations surveys, etc. being held back that Nintendo would have gotten far earlier if there wasn't a need to keep them for next year's elite.

I just realized that I have a second unopened copy of Metroid Trilogy with it's precious tasty coins resting inside its cold metal shell. Since I can't register games twice, I will trade tit for tat. I am a couple of games away from platinuming this year and if somebody can trade me my registration code for an unused one It'd be much appreciated. Just send me a PM if interested, tell me the game you have, and I'll let you know if I already have that one.
Hmm, I got within 70 coins of Platinum, but I think I'll wait to finish up until OoT 3DS comes out. I'm leery of this new system, all I really know is I need to start registering new stuff ASAP.
I've still probably got enough to get to Platinum next year too. Heck, just now I registered the Wii Fit + board and Wii Play that I've had for years, though I didn't get post-play surveys for them.
If you have a sealed Metroid Trilogy, you should sell it for $100, buy any game(s) you need with that money.
I should give a bit more detail, the "second" copy was a replacement for my stolen first copy. I would rather not sell it. Even if you could get 100 bucks for it, would any of you sell yours on ebay?
Looks like its just Gold for me this year. I was banking on grabbing a 3DS, but whoops, didn't happen.
I need to go through and figure out what I have and haven't registered next time around. I know I have a goldmine around, just not an extra 300 points worth of goldmine.

I know I wouldn't. Even with the changes to MP1 and 2, I still like to play them.

My second copy isn't sealed, but it's signed by the entire dev staff. It's not going anywhere. Nor is my second copy of Donkey Kong Country Returns.

I still have Metroid Other M and my Netflix disc to get codes from. But I think I'm gonna wait to get my last few coins before platinum with Ocarina of Time, since that way I'll get the early registration coins too.

Most gamers have no qualms over selling games as soon as they're a month old, acting as if they were milk that's gone bad.

If I'm not using a game, I trade it in first chance I get. If I ever get the urge to own it again I'll pick it up on sale at amazon for even less than I sold it for.
If it ends up being overpriced, it's probably a Nintendo game and will get re-released someday.

160 coins, which now that I think about it, is what you get for the Wii, but that has had a couple price drops.
Fuck I need to check my account soon. I've probably had shit expire and not realize it.
