There were few things more unsettling to me than my realization that there is this group of kids, this younger generation that precedes my own.
Does this just keep getting worse as you get older?
An average teenager these days was born in the mid 90's for fucks sake. Who is John Romero, they ask. What is a baud modem, they wonder. Why do you blow on the cartridge, they inquire.
Oh, John Romero also worked on Dangerous Dave, the um...the game I get my username from. I realize that if you don't get the reference, "Dangerous-Dave" probably seems like a pretty douchey name to have on a message board.

Sometimes, I wonder to myself how I would explain to a kid things from my time, like what a Game & Watch was, or why Duck Tales was awesome. Then I shudder when I realize how old I am.

Now might not be a good time to tell you that your username is Dangerou-Dave

I just ask what the fuck happened to the old concept of saturday morning cartoons?
Seriously, does everything kid watch have to be from Japan now days?
Man (very) old disney or loony toons cartoons were the best. NOW IN TECHNICOLOR
I remember one of these ancient cartoons ended with Bugs Bunny in front of a Royal Canadian Mountie firing squad.
Then for his last with he breaks out into "I wish I was in Dixie!" thereby transforming the entire firing squad into black folk with gigantic lips carrying banjos and singing along.
I didn't even catch the racist dig when I was little.
how an attractive dude like you end up with a job like that? probably the least rewarding job in the history of man and dinosaur
i actually really like the job, because it makes me feel like i'm making some sort of difference!
and then there's nights like tonight where i work over two hours overtime and i loudly let any kids within earshot know that if i was their father, i would have drowned the lot of them by now
Also, board games. Do kids today even play board games anymore? Or is it like that scene from Back to the Future? "You have to use your hands? That's like a baby's game." Fuck, I don't even know.

I also cherish the still-earlier days. My god I played so much NES and Atari.
i've got enough marbles to keep this from happening

your answer is no, not usually
That's what I love about high school girls, man
I keep getting older, they stay the same age
Yes they do, yes they do
You know, growing up I never liked most kids in high school. I just hated people for some reason, but I knew I'd grow out of it.
Eight years later, I've come to learn that it wasn't really me; High School kids are just terrible fucking people.
I was totally gonna say this

Wait what do you even do any why would a ginger kid want to spit at you?
