I think this game had achieved legendary status in my mind due to my inability to play it. So as I was playing I didn't feel like this was the second coming.
But then I played versus. I got my ass handed to me but it was really awesome.

I feel so sorry for newbies who play versus. Was in a game with Smashism and Rakuen was on a team with THE_Ted, Rakuen, Goose! and a new guy called Tom Danger. After Tom lagged behind them and got huntered again for the umpteenth time they just gave up and left him to die. I began to feel bad when, as a hunter, me slashing him to fuck when he was boomered wasn't stopped because he didn't know Hunters make a different claw sound than the infected.

I reckon you tried Campaign on Normal. It's so damn easy that it's boring. My first game ever on the demo was on normal, and my second game was then in advanced. It made things so much better.
Got kicked from a PUB earlier today, for slashing instead of pouncing when a horde was incoming.
"Haha n00b you suck, hunters jump on them."
I didnt point out that I was 200 points ahead.
There is nothing scarier than a hunter who knows how to slash. Carbonfire is a god damn hunter slashing ninja. I, on the other hand, am more of a slashing modern dancer.
(10 or 20 guaranteed damage is bloody great, much better than pouncing into the middle of a group and hoping to do maybe 5)

I prefer the ol' 25 point pounce.
I especially like it when they melee me off and I get 1 or 2 slashes in before they finally decide to kill me.
I wish I could hit those. I just can't do it anymore. Except for that totally magnificent wall jump off a tree (that did 9 damage....)
It helps to bounce off a wall first, making yourself straight on with the survivors.. imagine their positions as a runway and you want to be flying straight along it.. not at an angle where it's much harder to land on someone.
Straffing will also alter your descent a bit, to adjust for survivors on the move.
I just found out about the third person camera, so I'm going to give it a try.
But could someone tell me where I'm supposed to extract the files for extra skins, and how to apply them in-game? Is it easy to swap skins around, or set them back to their default models?
The problem with going third person is that the crosshair doesn't point where you are actually shooting at. It's either the cross hair is to the left of where your shots are going, or your shots are going to the left of your crosshair. I don't really remember.
I tried it for a couple of minutes, and it seemed to work well enough. The only issue I had was that the shotgun noise is faded, since your perspective is further away. Kind of takes the fun out of exploding heads if you're not getting that satsifying boom. Also, it could use just a little further tweaking to closely match RE4's over the shoulder view.
So yet again, I'm asking how to apply skins. I can't seem to find a detailed explanation, and it sounds like it isn't as simple as just extracting the files to a particular folder, but that some hex editing is required as well. Is this true? If so, I'll wait for a cleaner and quicker solution to swapping skins.
And I don't suppose any mod maps have been finished yet? There was supposed to be that Dawn of the Dead mall that promised a beta in December....
Anyone down for an expert run through? I have some time today...
Alternatively, what is that second PA group for people who like playing expert primarily? It seems like everyone in the Armadeaddon chat are playing in a vs game right now.
I'm gonna do easy. But you say "What? Easy? Easy is easy, don't do that." And I say but we're all gonna do melee only. And you say "But fucking hell its still easy you RETARDED ASSCOCK!". And I'm gonna say chill the fuck out, and you forgot one thing:
Yeah. Melee only. 160 hits. Are you a bad enough dude?
Well with 5 gigs I was gonna bust my limit by 2 gigs. So it should be alright.
Man, I thought only the aussies had to deal with that nonsense. Is Canada a barren wasteland, devoid of unlimited broadband for $25/month?
We pay 40$/month (and that's with the rebates we get from having TV with my ISP and having a one year contract) to get 7 Mbits and a cap of 20 gigs for downloads.
It sucks.
You're paying less than I am for a faster line than mine with a higher cap to boot.
Hey so whats a good area to hide to kill things in Blood Harvest on the last map? We tried the barn, but that didnt work, we tried the bathroom but that didnt work, we tried like...everywhere but nothing would work. Once the Tank came that was it. We were fucked. He likes to come sometimes mid-zombie fight so you dont hear the music much and then hes suddenly there blocking your way killing everyone...its really annoying.

Try getting on one of the roofs (I'm thinking the one in back works better) of the house. There's really not much to worry about except smokers. Have one guy watch the doorway of the room you used, and the other three shouldn't have any trouble keeping the horde at bay.
Once the tank shows drop and run, or if it floats your boat, stay up there and hope he trys to climp up the house and gets glitched.

If you don't get boomed you can hear the tank quite easily.
The barn is a fantastic place because you can see the tank before he can hit you (big ass window, hole which someone (once the tank music starts) should peek out of to look at that entire area and a slow climb mean he'll never get the drop on you.

Welp, glad we got some interest in the Bad Enough Dudes movement. Although I might gonna be busy for the next couple of days, so it'll probably happen whenever I get a chance. Like maybe after Christmas, I don't know.
Oh yeah. There was that helpful link a while ago that said melee did 25(or was it 24?) damage to Tanks. Thats what I'm going off of. I honestly don't know if they can be killed by it. But I intend to find out. Or more likely die trying.

Upstairs in the laundry room.
Technically its a laundry closet.
Oh! The room I said to do it in but everyone denied me and decided against it multiple times. They all said it was an awful area because the one time we used it, one of our teammates ran off alone to the barn, I was already dying on the ground with my pistols out, and the other two were going in and out of the closet shooting things instead of staying inside. Despite all that they acted like we were all coordinating smartly that turn and just had a failed area. Uhh...not quite. I really wanted to try that room too...

So I started a game on a dedicated server. Unfortunately, it was Job's versus server with a 4 person limit.
I've brought this up before, but no-one replied.
Is there any way to reset the server to work correctly, without needing to be an admin? You could play through as if it was co-op, but then after you hit a saferoom you played Infected against four Survivor bots, and when you rape them all, it doesn't end.
What was wrong with the barn? The last successful time I did it, we made absolutely sure that at least 2 people were blocking the hole (that is, get as close as possible without stepping out, and letting rip with autoshotties. The other 2 dudes defended the ladder.
Granted, it's not foolproof, because the other time I suggested it we got soundly rushed because the hole wasn't properly blocked.

I stick two right next to the hay bales, and two in that corner nearest them. Everybody can watch the hole, and the two in the corner can watch the ladder AND the hole. Nobody should get smokered.

As far as I know nothing short of a hard reset of the server will fix it, which sucks, cause I don't know about Job but really don't have time to sit around and babysit the damn thing all day. I'm thinking about switching mine back to regular since it's hardly playable half the time at the moment.

edit: false. Melee does zero actual damage to a tank. It may be that x number of hits kills one, but melee does no damage.
Blood Harvest Vs. While I prefer doing upstairs defenses, it is possible to defend in the radio room. Unless you decide to crouch in the corner opposite of the weapon rack. With your back to the window. And then you wonder why you keep taking damage.
Your surroundings. Pay attention to them.
That is all.

There's no reason to take more than 10-20 damage each survivor crouching beside the weapon rack on that map. When your tank comes, you can even stay there with autoshotties and be perfectly safe, barring him smacking you through the wall.
Even worse than that, when this awesome guy gets his turn as survivor, my team sets up to try and get the cheap smoker kill on the roof.
People consider the smoker roof thing cheap? Do they consider the sewers drop down cheap as well?
o_O
Personally, I consider any spot that gives the special infected (aside from the tank) a one-hit kill to be cheap as well as an exploit. Pulling people off ledges to slow the team down, do extra damage, etc. is just fine. Getting hauled off a ledge that's a tad too high and dying immediately is just stupid. People shouldn't get rewarded for being lazy as a smoker.
I would be 100% okay with that spot if it simply incapped people, though. However, getting a free kill because a team doesn't counter the spot perfectly every time is retarded.
Man some of y'all on the 360 group have got fucking nutso gamerscores. 29,000? That's not just bananas, that's the whole produce aisle. That's Korean.
Nah, not really. I don't think I've got all 1000 points off of a single 360 game ever and I've got something like 25k points. I did see a video about a guy with an insane gamerscore getting himself permanently banned from Live, though. He had 60000+ points and tried to take his hacked 360 on Live. Ban. Hilarity. I would've felt bad for the guy if he wasn't trying to do something so stupid.

It's not an automatic death, it's an incap. The only reason you'd die is if your buddy broke the tongue and you fell off on your own. Being dragged off by the tongue does not kill you.

What? People usually get killed by that pull because nobody is around to melee them free. They get grabbed, go off the edge near the corner, and fall to an instant death. It might be fixed on the PC version, but for the 360 version it kills people every time.
