So Teaparty found out just yesterday that her gamestop was informed to have a Halo Wars midnight release.
Also, people that Bungie has given Mythic codes to:
* like 10-15 people in the fucking NeoGAF thread
* about 8-10 MLG people
* one or two people from HBO
* one of the most active people in the modding scene
People Bungie has not given mythic to:
* anyone from bungie.net
So, in short Bungie employees - maybe the reason that post irked you was because it was covered in a fine layer of truth.
I'm getting the Halo Wars limited edition or whatever, I'd probably be willing to sell the Mythic code for however much 800 points (Isn't that what Mythic will be) is worth.
Because I want Mythic, but I likely won't have enough time to dedicate to HW and Mythic when the game comes out.
And most of you guys are much more into the H3 multiplayer scene than I am.

I know Neogaf has a really active Halo thread, but I can't shake the feeling that the Neogaf people got codes because some Bungie people post there/like them and not because of any sort of massive contribution to the community. I would think places like high impact halo and HBO would get the lions share. o_O

Yeah, a few weeks before Halo 2 came out he had talked to Gabe or something about going on our forums and posting some Halo 2 hype machine info or whatever.
But I don't think Gabe told any of the mods or anyone in the community. So when Frankie showed up and made a new thread everyone yelled at him because we had a Halo 2 thread and were bitching at him for spamming and stuff.
It was all pretty hilarious. Then one of the mods banned Frankie. I think it was Tube.
Then Gabe and Tycho basically disowned the entire forum because they were so ashamed. That whole thread went down a little bit before I joined, but I have fairly vivid memories of reading the thread. Too funny.
I'm not sure how long ago just going by memory of a post I read recounting it so details could be way off. Also, dammit I need to renew Bungie pro if I wanna add ODST pics for possible mythic.

During pax, They were unprofessional as fuck-
I was walking by the ubisoft booth and they asked us to sign up for their 1tb drive. I politely declined and got all bitchy "BUT THATS 1000 gigabytes!"
I walked away. Dumb bitch, I know what terabyte is. I wanted to tear into her but she wasn't worth it.

I did them separate and both together to make sure it gets gathered properly
Random person with 2 guests calls Thrill a fag while we're playing Team Melee.
For some reason they hit X to party up, so he hits it too. And for some reason it actually worked.
So he attempts to actually talk to the random (a girl), just straight up asks why they're calling him a fag. Of course, random is dumb as a rock and just continues to spew insults.
We then proceed to go search for games, with the random still in our party
random continues to berate us as we retreat back to party chat.
about 4 games later, we're pretty sure that they don't realize that we've basically kidnapped them and are farming them for EXP. They still hang around.
I'm not going to repeat the fine details - especially at one part where 3 of us made a really bad mistake due to forgetfulness - it was like a verbal battle with simultaneous sword swinging action.
Parts of the conversations we had are not even postable on 4chan.
Also, at the end they finally challenged us to 3v3 slayer, saying we'd get our asses kicked. We sent Thrill, Lookfree, and
