Anyone studying for Masters in Library and Information Science? Got some Qs
I am trying to find people to pick their brains who are in this field/profession ie. Information Architect, User Interface and other web professions. Just want advice on what to expect what to prepare myself. The courses I am taking seems to prepare me in this field but its good to hear from those already in the field.
I found an organization on meetup.com that says they have students in their networking events but its hard for me to attend due to work schedule but really did not help the details.
I hope someone may be in similar shoes or is in the AI field that can explain what to prepare myself.
Also if matters I will be attending San Jose State University MLIS program

Well, I'm a librarian and got my degree in December 2006 from Florida State University, but my concentration focused specifically on reference librarianship. I took a class on user interfaces, but it's not really something I'll use in my job. I guess I probably can't help you much, but you never know!
Ohh trust I am not taking out being a librarian when I am done with my degree, like to keep all doors open. I been member of my local FOL for 4 years and one of the youngest too.
Just want to see people's experience from MLIS>careers in web development/IA/UI etc.
