Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't announce it and all of a sudden, it's up in the store. Given the Wahwah storm it caused when it was first announced, if they just threw it up on the store it might cut a lot of the potential steam from cry-babies. (As in They don't get to cry for weeks about it being released and then more when it releases. There'll be a day or two when it's an issue, and nobody will care.)
At least, that's what I hope. I'd love it if I could be assured that they could announce the game without people trying to cause controversy, but I can't.
The positive response to Fat Princess was way bigger than the negative, so there's no real reason for them to do that. And even if there were a bigger negative response, there's no way they'd care enough to actually not promote it. In fact, they just showed it off at CES (which was shown at gametrailers).
Yeah, you make sense, and you're probably right. I just worry that knee-jerk reactions are the only ones companies have anymore, so my first instinct is usually to assume that's what's going to happen, given people complaining.
I hate to double-post (though it's been a couple days), but I just scrounged around and found out that Noby Noby Boy hits the Store(s) on February 19th for €3.99/£2.49/$4.99. (Or something like that.)

Damn you tredging up this thread! At least it's with good news. I didn't bother updating the OP this week because it was probably the weakest damn PSN week I've ever seen. I was just going to throw this week's info into next week's "last time" post.
Week of 1/26:
-Chinese New Year Costumes - 10 Days Only!
-God Of War Costume Pack
-Kratos Costume (I Guess if you don't care about the Minotaur, Medusa or Stickers)
-GroundHog Day Costume - 1 Week Only!
Week of 2/5:
-Valentine's Day Mini-Pack - 2 Weeks Only! (Stickers and Costume Pieces)
Yeah, I don't remember even noticing anything new when I went to finally buy OTRSPOD 2 earlier this week, so I had to assume the update was awful.
The SCEE update was surprisingly pretty good. Penny Arcade Adventures Ep 1 (FINALLY), FEAR 2 demo, 2 PS1 games (one good, one crap) and a bunch of PSP games (including the PSP version of Everyday Shooter).
Anyway, a couple of new suggestions for whenever you update the OP:
a) Add in a News headline at the top of the OP, where you can post any PSN news. So new firmware updates, new game patches (like the PixelJunk Eden one the other week), official release dates for PSN games, etc.
b) Add all the games that are out on the US store but aren't yet on the PAL store in the upcoming part. It might help me remember the ridiculous amount of games SCEE still haven't released. :x
So:
Cuboid
Lumines Supernova
Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 2
PowerUp Forever
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix
Edit: You may as well take the RE games out of the OP as well, because it ain't happening for a while:
Working on it. We have some internal issues still to resolve. If it happens, it's not going to be for a while still.

Sucks, Japanese store already has RE1 and 2, wonder what issues they need to resolve.
Capcom Forums. I was checking to see if there was any news of SF2 HD and found that bit. Capcom employees tend to post in their forums a lot, so it's generally a good place to check Capcom news out.
I also found out that RE5 and SF4's releases won't be delayed in Aus/NZ despite Capcom's distributor, Red Ant, going out of business. Good news.

Burnout Paradise getting price dropped to $20 makes me consider it as a serious purchase. I like the Burnout series enough. Is Paradise pretty much a full-fledged game in the same vein or does it lack for tracks and challenges? Also, with the Ultimate Box coming out next week, I'm assuming there's not much difference between it and downloading B:P + DLC from the PSN, right?

Yeah its a full fledged game, but there aren't really tracks, its one big city. There is a demo for Burnout... why not try it? (I owned the disc version, but goozexed it because I want the psn version) I'm wondering if I should get it from psn now or wait for the Ultimate Box as well. I want to know if you save any money by buying them together.
I’ll tell you what happens in Demon’s Souls when you die. You come back as a ghost with your health capped at half. And when you keep on dying, the alignment of the world turns black and the enemies get harder. That’s right, when you fail in this game, it gets harder. Why? Because fuck you is why.
No problemo. I didn't even think to check the OP for you own update before I posted that. I just figured this thread needed to get out of the cesspits of Page 4 in the main topic board.
2 weeks until Flower, and hopefully less than a month after that for Fat Princess!
Isn't there a RE:5 demo out there? I've been travelnig this week, I assumed it dropped? I know people with 360's were playing it?
PS3 demo comes out next week. And yeah I'm wondering about Savage Moon too. Its hard to make a decision when there is no demo, or even a good gameplay trailer. (I'll probably hold off till one of those happen, or some site does a decent review)

It's been out in Europe apparently, so there should be some vids up on youtube somewhere, I'd think.

Well, the wiki page has links to videos of every stage. Apparently it came out last month in Europe.
Looks good! I like the GUI, I'll definitely pick it up tonight.

It looks great, and I love the idea of a TD with great graphics, but, as I said, crappy laptop. I couldn't even run OTRSPOD, I had to wait for them to come out on PSN.

No, I'll give it a shot. PJM was actually the first Tower Defense game that really clicked for me. I played a flash one a couple of times and tried the warcraft 3 map, but they never hooked me.
I think a big part of why I liked PJM so much was the coop, and the dancing to upgrade stuff. Which is why I'm unsure about Savage Moon.

Ah yeah, that's pretty unique to PJM. Normally you spend resources to upgrade towers (similar to the crystals) but Defense grid is pretty cool because certain maps have you build your own maze out of turrets to keep the monsters flowing through the path you make.
And PJM is the only co-op TD game (not on WC3 or Starcraft) that I know of so far.

It definitely looks like a more traditional affair, you can put towers anywhere and just upgrade them with money.
Buh, I need to pick up a couple PSN cards sometime. I went to get the God of War Mini-Pack for LBP and it would've ended up costing $3.20.
My Wallet amount? $3.19. ARGH.
Plus, I might pick up Noby Noby Boy when it comes out. I wasn't too interested but...I dunno, it might be worth it. And I need to set aside some PSN money for Fat Princess and wait and wait.
As a sidenote, does anyone play Crash Commando anymore? It seemed like it was big around here when it came out, but I haven't seen a mention of it since. I think it might be worth a buy, but it might be a little less fun without some people (preferably from here) to play it with.
It has a nice difficulty curve so far. There are just specific paths you can block with towers (some monsters attack them) rather than having to make a maze. The graphics are great, and the controls are perfect.
bejeweled 2 is really fun. sadly it doesnt have custom soundtrack support or a local high score list, but even with that its still great. i guess its not "cool" to say you like bejeweled but its a hell of an addictive bit of game you know.

Got it recently and wondering if any other Penny Arcadians play it.
I just started playing this. I haven't tried racing online yet since I'm sure I'd get destroyed. (Working on the single player till I learn the tracks)

Note that SCEE screwed up Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars's PAL release, so took it off the store and will probably wait until next week to put it back up. It must be incredibly frustrating for developers to deal with SCEE, SARPBC was originally meant to be released on the 23rd of January, before SCEE delayed it at the last minute...
Gah, don't know how I messed that up. I didn't even realize that game was on PSP. I did think it was odd they were adding a game that didn't have Trophies though...

I still play Crash Commando now and then. It's one of my favorite PSN games.

Steam: TheArcadeBear
Yeah its a full fledged game, but there aren't really tracks, its one big city. There is a demo for Burnout... why not try it? (I owned the disc version, but goozexed it because I want the psn version) I'm wondering if I should get it from psn now or wait for the Ultimate Box as well. I want to know if you save any money by buying them together.
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
Has anyone here picked it up yet? Is it worth it if you like TD?
Will add the UK update tonight, I did the US one at 5 a.m. and was tired as all hell.
2 weeks until Flower, and hopefully less than a month after that for Fat Princess!
Steam: TheArcadeBear
Heard it's really good, but hard. No co-op, but it's futuristic. I am thinking I may buy it this weekend.... Or just hold off for a little bit.
PS3 demo comes out next week. And yeah I'm wondering about Savage Moon too. Its hard to make a decision when there is no demo, or even a good gameplay trailer. (I'll probably hold off till one of those happen, or some site does a decent review)
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
It's been out in Europe apparently, so there should be some vids up on youtube somewhere, I'd think.
PSN: SAW776
Well, the wiki page has links to videos of every stage. Apparently it came out last month in Europe.
Looks good! I like the GUI, I'll definitely pick it up tonight.
Have you tried Defense Grid for the PC? If not, try that out as well. I bought it and it's pretty awesome. There's a demo for it as well.
My crappy laptop can't handle it.
EDIT: Wait, you weren't talking to me, DISREGARD
I was.
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
And PJM is the only co-op TD game (not on WC3 or Starcraft) that I know of so far.
It definitely looks like a more traditional affair, you can put towers anywhere and just upgrade them with money.
PSN: SAW776
My Wallet amount? $3.19. ARGH.
Plus, I might pick up Noby Noby Boy when it comes out. I wasn't too interested but...I dunno, it might be worth it. And I need to set aside some PSN money for Fat Princess and wait and wait.
As a sidenote, does anyone play Crash Commando anymore? It seemed like it was big around here when it came out, but I haven't seen a mention of it since. I think it might be worth a buy, but it might be a little less fun without some people (preferably from here) to play it with.
Got it recently and wondering if any other Penny Arcadians play it.
It has a nice difficulty curve so far. There are just specific paths you can block with towers (some monsters attack them) rather than having to make a maze. The graphics are great, and the controls are perfect.
I tend to wait until things I want are above a fiver before I get anything from PSN to prevent that exact thing.
@gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!
It's good but $10 is a bit much.
I'm waiting for Peggle.
I just started playing this. I haven't tried racing online yet since I'm sure I'd get destroyed. (Working on the single player till I learn the tracks)
Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
Fight Night's a PSP game.
Hmmm... Interesting. I may have to partake in this purchase.
