My friend gave me his old X360 which is like a first generation I think; he bought a new elite instead of doing the warranty thing. I figured I'd go online to do it myself but (obviously) it says this console is already registered to an other user.
What are my options here? I'd feel like a tool asking him to go to more hassle after giving it to me (that was part of the reason why he just bought an other one). Do I need to have it refurbished at GameStop or something (do they even do that) or can I transfer the Xbox to me? How do I proceed from here?
I've got the box, all the papers, the console, the hookups, and a controller. Everything it came with.
