Palestinian doctors say the total number of Palestinians who have been killed since the Israeli offensive began on 27 December is 879. Thirteen Israelis - 10 soldiers and three civilians - have died.
Two Norwegian doctors, who have been working in the Gaza Strip, say the main hospital is close to collapse, and that patients are dying because of a lack of specialist doctors and basic medical equipment.

There is no way to completely avoid civilian casualties when you're bombing targets in cities and whatnot. Even if they bombed military bases exclusively, there would probably still be a few since military bases have civilian workers on them. I'm not terribly concerned about it.
