So, I found this pretty cool game, and cant freaking get passed level 11!!

I thought I'd post and see how far can you guys get.... this and 99 bricks are two of the hardest games I've ever played :)

Game is at http://www.goarcades.com/games/Draw-Play-3

Also, please be truthful about how far you can get... if that means anything..

I'm up to 19 so far, only been at it 15 min. It's not too hard yet.

Really, the game is pretty easy once you realize you can move your guy by drawing up under his feet, raising him up on a pedestal-like elevator.

    25. How? I tried to make a bridge out of the tree thing so he could jump onto the path upwards, but it doesn't seem to work.

Got to level 30 in like 10 or 15 minutes. Level 30 seems a bit tough and might take awile.

You dont need a bridge or anything, just need to jump up the path. The level is a little random though if you get 2 missles coming from the flag area your pretty much screwed.

25 you can just spam jump and forward and usually avoid the missiles and walk up the bridge.

30 is pretty bad. Keep in mind that only the spikes on the spinners can kill you, not the arm close to the center. You can get right in there.

    Ahhhhh... that changes everything

I didn't realize that. That would have made it easier. Oh well.

Only one I can't beat is 31. Double laser beams giving me a headache.

What secret is he talking about? Says I unlocked 2 secrets, but I don't see any extra levels or anything.

edit: found the unlock section in the main menu. Pretty cute.

edit 2: Beat 31. Just needed to erase all the earth and do some creative dodging.

Fun game. Took me about an hour to beat everything and see all the unlocks.

I've seen this game. It's not very hard once you figure a few tricks out, but I really, really like the idea behind it.

Also OP smells faintly of shill but I like the game too much to mind.

100% it just now. I went afk in level 35 and the flash overloaded and lagged as heck, so I had to refresh and lose my first 2 unlocked secrets in the process. Armor games are pretty fun, but I haven't found them very hard, they just need a strategy and they're usually easy to find out.

This game always gets pretty laggy by the end. It looks like every object in each level gets added to a list of active objects, and this list is not cleared at the end of each level. This means that the game must keep track of collision detection and gravity for hundreds and hundreds of objects by late game.

Yeah, there is a memory leak but you can restart to get the performance back up. It was nice having bullet time in some of the levels.

It was a pretty entertaining game while it lasted. I find myself putting more time into these little flash games than the PC games I actually pay money for.

Not trying to advertise or anything, but I've put HOURS into shit like Gemcraft. There's some quality flash entertainment around.

I worked on a contracting job with the guy who wrote Gemcraft. He sold the rights to it for a few thousand dollars when he finished it, and now it's one of the most popular flash games of all time with millions of hits.

I can't help but think he got screwed in that deal.

Did he work on that blimps tower defense too? The site I originally found Gemcraft on I found a WW2 themed side-view tower defense where you fight off blimps. The interface and game elements were taken almost directly from Gemcraft (or the other way around, I'm not sure the order they were released in). It's called Balloon Invasion.

I think so, I saw that somewhere on a website recently.
Sorry for not responding before... was on vacation, and just got back and saw this open on computer :D

While we're discussing the subject, how does Gemcraft compare to higher budget offerings like Defense Grid? I'm curious to know if Defense Grid is a big step up or more of a sideways shuffle.

More on topic, I think Chalk Physics is definitely a step up from the game in the OP. Which is probably why one is free and the other costs money.
