FINALLY got a Guardian. Jesus, this is the worst fishing minigame in the history of fishing minigames. It's way too damn random.
Yeah, I had two days of rain (11/3, 11/4) for fishing that I reset a few times before deciding that I wanted to advance the story instead of keeping on trying for the Guardian. I get the feeling that I might regret that, since I could have persevered to catch the Guardian on 11/3 and then begun the final advancement to Hermit 10 on 11/4. *shrug* Oh well. Currently on 11/7 with the urge to bust through the current dungeon on a single day. At least I have plenty of money, and my total income is positive in any case. The question is if the dungeon is any longer than those previously seen, and if my stock of Goho-Ms holds out.
Also, I've lost a number of Homunculuses on my party members and they're on Act Freely. I think someone had a question about that earlier.
It's pretty easy to get a guardian. You might need to take about 20 recasts, though. Just go on a rainy night or day, throw out your lure. You're looking for a very heavy tug that repeats slowly (every 1.5-2s). If you get a light tug, pull the line back in and recast before a fish bites.
I caught 5 guardians in about 10 minutes. There is a really nice armor you can get in september or november that takes a guardian each, gives +50% experience. Getting the 21 huge fish for some armor in december was more annoying, they're harder to tell. I don't need the armor, I just want it.

At least they're both better than Fuuka. The only thing I hate about Rise is when she says "Woo!" for one of the characters when they dodge. I think it's Yukiko. It's so high pitched and happy that it's like a dagger to the ear.

I suppose it's my fault for not managing my Understanding well enough and having to play catch-up in the midgame, but oh well. At least I know I can do it without bothering to crack a guide on the NG+.

I was pretty unimpressed with the Moon link. Maybe I just took a bad route? Ai herself isn't bad though.
For my first run through, it's looking like I'll max everything except for Tower, Death, Hanged Man and Sun.
Took my sweet time on understanding since I wasn't exactly thrilled about the Tower link, and never talked to Hanged Man. I've actually probably got enough time left over to max Sun but, eh...

Finished at level 80 with 72h 42m of game time. Managed to max Fool, Magician, Chariot, Lovers, Priestess, Hierophant, Emperor, Fortune, Strength, Death, Star, Moon, and Judgement, with Justice and Sun sitting at rank nine. I messed up a bit by not focusing on the stat building links early and fell behind on my understanding and expression, which screwed me out of Justice and Tower (didn't even start this one until late November...).
The ending itself felt a bit rushed (the time skip really threw me off, even though I knew it was coming) and not quite as epic as P3's, but it was still a satisfying conclusion. I thought I had done something wrong in the last fight when I got sucked into the hole of death, but then the requisite power of friendship scene started playing I was like "whew, ok I'll win for sure now." :P

The list of indirect benefits I provided her by not talking to her is endless.
So at what point did you guys grow to like Ms. Moon link? Because I only got her to four because I didn't really like her at all.
Eh, maybe it's just a matter of different tastes I guess. I mean, I really liked Yosuke throughout the game and a lot of you all here seem to hate him. *shrug*
Oh, also, I think the band social link was cute too. (though I didn't finish because I ran out of time and all...)(

That said Band was awful. Ayane has the worst character design in the history of anything, on top of being rather shallow in general. She looks like she's 8 years old, and that's being generous. Why is she a romance option at all ugh.
