Yeah, this is my stance. Guy questioned his sexuality and found out the answer was 'straight.' Which is perfectly okay.
I was more insinuating that he's young, confused, and probably bisexual, but its all kind of a moot point because sex and sexuality in Persona 4 is very nudge-nudge-wink-wink. Combine that with the different cultural views on homosexuality between Japan and the U.S. and the only things we can say for certain are:
1. Kanji makes better dolls than you do.
2. Kanji will beat you up.
3. No, seriously. He is gonna renovate your ass. So hard.

Kanji sounded rather like he was enjoying that kiss with Teddie. And was apparently doing it through the next round of the game. And it's not like Kanji couldn't literally throw Teddie off of him if he wanted to.
Maybe he's bi. Maybe he's gay. Maybe he's straight. I guess at his age it's not very surprising he doesn't really give us a definitive answer.
I just wished they hadn't nerfed Kanji's magic stat. I mean, he gets all the zio spells which is cool, but the damage he does with it is just pathetic. Even Chie has a much higher magic then him, which is strange since she doesn't even get anything better then bufula. I guess it's just one of his quirks. I for one am another who sees him completely straight, I mean, I thought they made his crush on Naoto pretty explicit. Too bad the main character's a beast and all the women glomp on him.

Truth be told I would have actually liked if they gave you the option to set them up.
Kanji's magic stat was always high enough for me. Is he doing Yukiko levels of damage? No, of course not, but he still does good enough damage with Ziodyne and Elec Boost and Amp, so I never had issues.
And in boss fights you should just be using all his SP for Matarukaja and sticking with Vile Assault/Primal Force for damage.

I was honestly a little disappointed that you couldn't um... set... yourself up... with Kanji. Even though I wouldn't have (Yukiko and Rise are too cute to give up), they should've given the option. And if you fail to do anything with Naoto, they should get paired up. Same with various other characters. Or something.

Persona 4's defining "are you intimate?" condition seems to be if the person has been invited to your room, so Kanji meets that standard at rank 10. Anything more physically intimate than a hug is left up to your speculation or imagination.

so, guys odd question: anyone know of any MegaTen phone straps? My old GaoGaiGar one is nearing the end of it's durability, so figure I may retire it from my phone so it doesn't get banged up any further and was thinking something along the lines of MegaTen for a new one. Same-sex infatuations are viewed differently in Japan and America. There's a significant cultural divide not only on homosexuality explicitly, but on the elasticity of sexual identity based on orientation.
My complaint about the P4 artbook, and this is a serious spoiler so don't read it if you haven't beaten the game.
Even in the japanese one, it doesn't seem to have a picture of Adachi's "eye shot" when he summons Izanagi. I kind of want it because if it wasn't too spoilery, I was thinking I'd use it as a signature if I could find it online. It doesn't seem to be the easiest thing to find though and even then I'm too dumb to know how to resize stuff correctly. Even then I'd still like to see it in print but no artbook seems to have it. I actually can't even remember what it looks like but I remember it was kind of cool.

Anyways, on a completely unrelated note, War Cry is the shit. The last boss (except Lucifer....he killed me) was so laughably easy. I was doing good on Lucifer but then he started using Dekunda, which sucked, and Root of Evil which I have no goddamn clue how it even works, but that attack is bullshit. I hate you Lucifer.

You were right, it's pretty heavily implied with Chie. Yukiko it seems more likely you didn't though. She just says "Can I spend the night here? I told my parents I was at Chie's, so no one will mind if I stay...I love you..." then it cuts out and says "Christmas Eve continues". Basically, Yukiko said "I told everyone I'm staying with Chie... can I sleep here?" while Chie said "I told everyone I'm at Yukiko's. I, um, let's.... you know... I mean, um.... stop grinning like that!"
You could interpret either one as either way, but it seems to me that Chie was asking for sex, especially given that she's naturally outgoing but was bashful here. And Yukiko seemed to be happy just sleeping in your room.
I'm rather romantic too (though I don't think I'm hopeless) and Yukiko's scene pleased me more than Chie's. I tend to feel sex thrown in as what you get in the end kind of cheapens the relationship you built up through the game. So I'm probably reading Yukiko's scene more innocently than most people would... but it still seems to me, especially given her character throughout the game, that she's the kind of girl who just wants to cuddle through the night.
