The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I posted this in the Wii thread, but they seem to be more interested in discussing possible downloadable Phoenix Wright cases and pointing out that the hiragana in my sig is wrong (that's how the publisher from Japan did it, they're allowed to break the rules of their own language)...anyway, here goes.
I missed out on pre-orders and from what I've heard there are none left. Now unlike some other company *cough* Sony *cough*, Nintendo is going to ship a sufficient amount of units come launch day.
I'm willing to camp out all night but I don't want to do it if I can't get a system after everything is said and done. Should I call stores and talk to the managers? Find out how many units they're getting and how many are already going to pre-orders? Will they give me this information? Also, what chains are "camp out" friendly?
Absolutely call around and/or visit local stores that will have them and ask the managers. If I remember correctly, a lot of these decisions are left up to local/regional managers and they can give you a much firmer answer than I can. I know the Best Buy and Wal-Mart in my area are cool with campouts but I have heard rumors that some Best Buy in California was not so keen. Do not be afraid to ask the managers.

I didn't ask where they sell them, but thanks.
I think the guy was implying between all those stores, you'd probably find a Wii somewhere. Probably a couple days after launch too!

Some of them are getting a ton of units, hopefully there's one near you.
