it's totally possible they did. It's not hard to get 30k HP. A few heroic drops, a few Naxx10 drops.
Wrath of the Lich King went live on 11/13. Ensidia had cleared all of 25 man content by 11/15. Unless Ensidia's tanks were ungodly lucky and got every single piece of epic tank loot to drop on first runs of heroics and Naxx 10, I doubt they were decked out in wrath purples by the time they killed 25 man Patchwerk.
Granted it's also Ensidia, so their margin for error is much bigger.

May want to drop the WWS from the run in the raid thread and have people take a look. Fully buffed I sit at a little over 30k (and this is without kings). I've been both a hateful tank and the MT for this fight and while being the hateful tank was more stressful from a damage perspective, our healers did fine keeping up.
OR, Undead Scottsman, you could come roll with the PA guild and actually have FUN playing the game again!
Sorry, I am in no way, shape or form rerolling. Ever. If I'm going to put a single shred of time into this game, it's going to be onto the character I've already spent months /played. I don't even play alts because of this. (Sure I played through the Death Knight areas, but then I prompty left him in Org and went to go play my hunter through Nothrend.) When I stop playing my hunter, I stop playing the game.
As for transferring? I dunno, do you guys have any horde guilds that raid at funky times? (Like 7:30pm Alaskan time (11:30pm EST). 'course that's $25 I really wouldn't want to spend.
EDIT: Also, I was having fun, right up till I hit a major series scheduling conflicts, which should smooth themselves out a bit after a month or so once my extended shifts at work end. I think I'm just getting a bit burt out.
If you brought an extra healer, and had a good spread of all the healing classes-- it would definitely help on that fight if you were undergeared as tanks. A tree to keep hots up, priests for shieldies, shaman for fancy chain healing shenanigans, and some pallies for super fast healing.
I just looked at a WWS of one of our earlier Patchwerk kills, and the tanks took max hits of: 22k (Druid), 24k (Warrior) & 25k (DK). It looks like 30k is a good minimum to shoot for, unless your healers live in the building with your battlegroup's server and have 0 latency.
30k unbuffed? Look at it this way - Even with 30k unbuffed, you're not going to survive two 22-25k hits in a row unless you get healed. I think at my current HP level I sit at about 34k hp raid buffed, I would think that would be ok but apparently not -_-
Buffed I mean.
Very few people are going to survive two 25k hits in a row, you'll be getting healed between them. But keep in mind the heals that land might not total the 25k damage you just took, you may get two heals for 10k each. There needs to be a bit of leeway considering you'll only have two healers (plus bacon depending on healy paladins) on each tank.

every hit is going to make you feel like you're about to die, but you can't just pop cooldowns willy nilly, you need to save them for the enrage...so you just need to recognise that your life is in the hands of your healer because by the time you realise you're about to die to a hateful, its killed you.
whereas as the MT, you have time to consider the option of popping a cooldown.

When we first killed Patchwerk25 I was probably around 32k buffed as the MT, our druid had around 40k and DK had around 29k.
So basically if our tanks were all ~34k buffed and didn't have horrendous avoidance (I think we all sat around 40% pure avoidance), we're probably ok? Because nobody seemed to want to consider it possibly being a healer issue, it was just "our tanks obviously aren't geared enough for this."

I am kind of like you in the regard about transfering it does not help they would not let me transfer from Windrunner to Dath'Remar
They still will not give me an answer about why
As for the raid times look around the forums to see if a guild needs more meat for the grind that fits your times and is it worth blowing the $25 to transfer

By stressful, I meant that I know the damage is coming and there's nothing I can do about it.
I only have to pop two cooldowns when I MT Patchwerk. Wings at the beginning of the fight and shield wall at around the 5% mark when he does his enrage. Otherwise every GCD I'm going through the 96969 rotation. It's the only real fight in the instance where I can do my whole rotation and not have to worry about repositioning, goofy mechanics, or phases, and I know the healers on me are always on the ball.
So is there a trick to doing the Bomb Them Again achievement? I just can't seem to do it.
Also, Mulverick is stupid and I hate him.
Also also, in regards to pets, what is the best place to farm slimes for the pet?
No trick for that achievement. Just do it quickly and cleanly. Not much else to say. If you aren't a druid, don't get hit obviously since you can't waste those 3 seconds mounting. Always have the bomb on cooldown. Make the last bomb you get the one closest to the turn-in. And I did it by going north since it's way closer.
edit: Also, if you track the achievement you get a clock. If you don't see yourself completing it in time, abandon the quest and just try again. You won't get good enough at the quest just trying it once a day. I think it took me around an hour to finish it.
You can finish it without that though so it doesn't really matter. This one is all about skill which is nice. The dragon achievement in Lich King sucked since you just had to get lucky on which type of dragon spawned and where they spawned.
edit: Yeah you have to track it for the clock. Doing it repeatedly one after another is the only way you know you are making progress.
edit2: Tracking any timed achievement gives you a clock. It's nice.
Not sure if it is just me but are people noticing an increase in post counts on the MMO forum now that the big 80 and gear up drive has slowed down. Guess everyone (myself included) has more time to talk about playing rather than actually playing now

Or the holidays are over and everyone is bored at work.
I think it'd also be fairly important to do it when the area is pretty empty. Enough players doing the same thing and it'll be impossible.
This one isn't impossible but it does make it more difficult. The other TBC bombing one is impossible with other people though. And also all about luck more than skill.

My religion requires me to generate slack since there is a shortage of slack in the universe. Thus it is a religious duty for me.
I quit WoW almost a year ago. I wasn't planning on buying WotlK at all. Then someone just mailed it to me as a late Christmas present.
Dammit. Now I HAVE to play. But I cant decide whether to use my 70 Priest or start a new character on a PVE server.
I bought BC and had to start a new account, and I burned out on the shitty vanilla content that I'd done a million times prior. Now I'm back again still trying to grind to 60 with all of my friends doing Wrath areas. It sucks.
I'd play the Priest or roll a Death Knight so you get to see the new stuff.

Yeah, the Death Knights look cool, I just wonder if there are not millions of them already since I'm late to the party. Since I got WotlK free I can just mess around with that for a month or so.
But it runs so pretty on my new 3 Ghz iMac. So pretty...
mr Pink -- if you're alliance [and US], there's a new PA guild that started up on Draenor (Clawshrimp & Co) that is doing really well. if you're EU, I believe they've started up a guild as well.
we'd love to have you, whether your priest or a new reroll! [and don't worry about being rusty, our GM just came back from a several year hiatus, as did several others in the guild]

Heh, it's pretty funny doing a /who in Hellfire Peninsula these days. I have a 62 mage there and last night the list was like, 15 death knights, a pally or two, and me.
HFP during the initial burst was hilarious. It was a free for all, bodies flying everywhere, descrations everywhere you looked and that lone mage in the middle silence and about to get gang raped.

The number of death knights I saw from hellfire on up pretty much dropped significantly the higher up in zone I got. Although... that could have been because I went from 68 to 80 from December 25th to the 30th.
I think now is the best time to roll a ranged class. I see a lot of Naxx LFM Ranged DPS in LFG.
I would tend to agree. At least on Windrunner.
There's a complete lack of any sort of ranged DPS. Raids etc are constantly looking for dps, particularly ranged.
I'm so attached to my pally tank right now though I can hardly bring myself to play my 70 hunter; even though I know right now I'd get infinitely more parties. However, my luck is as soon as I dinged 80, so would every other ranged dps on the server and I would no longer be needed.

basically this is what happens
tank takes hateful
healers have about 2-3 seconds to heal him to full, or he's dead.
reactive healing does not work, they have to be chaining heals on him. if its overhealing because he avoids hatefuls a lot, so be it.

is there a similar list for paladin healers? I love this because most of these are quest items not some heroic drops.
