On the verge of buying PS3... need an extra push.

Hey! I'm on the verge of buying Playstation 3, but i am still hesitant to do so. I live in Seattle and my bro lives in New Jersey, and we want to play good online games together. Why PS3? We were both raised in Japan and still play games in Japanese, and we like how PS3 is not region coded.

anyways, my question is... are there any good online games in PS3 (either already out there or in the process of making)? Preferably RPG or action-adventure.

    warhawk is a fantastic online game for ps3, and can be bought cheaply and easily from the playstation store. there's also the big guns like resistance 2, gta iv, metal gear online, littlebigplanet (brilliant multiplayer), plus all those sport and racing games

    honestly one of the best thing about the ps3 is the psn - there are heaps of great little games you can pick up on a whim and squeeze a lot of life out of. crash commando just came out and has already won a lot of fans, and fat princess has had a lot of attention so it's surely going to be aiming high when it comes out. those are just a couple that seem relevant to what you need, but seriously the online store is full of more good games than you'd ever have time to play

    oh and as far as i know there's not a lot of information in the western media about white knight chronicles, but it's been released in japan, and it sold very well. it might be worth reading this thread at neogaf to get a few ideas

    -Metal Gear Solid 4
    -GTAIV
    -Resistance 2
    -Little Big Planet
    -Valkyria Chronicles
    -Oblivion
    -Fallout 3
    -Dead Space

    These are not all PS3-exclusive or online, but they are more than enough to make the console worth owning. Go for it.

    Fight Night 3 for sports if either of you are into it - plus its pretty cheap now

    Based on what you told us you like (RPGs and Action-adventure games) I'd say geta PS3 just for Uncharted, Metal Gear Solid 4, Resistance 2, Valkyria Chronicles, White Knight Chronicles and FF XIII. There's enough reasons to justify its purchase, but then I'll add LittleBigPlanet, which is so damn fun you'll forget about the rest.
