Dead SD Card - Anything I Can Do?

This is kind of H/A, but it's tech...if it's the wrong forum can someone move it?

Ok. My SD card which I was using as my backup for all my work seems to have died. I put it in the USB thing (turning it into amazing flash drive) and it doesn't come up on my computer. I put a different card in and it works, so it is definetly the SD card and not the USB convertor thing.

Is there anything I can do to get the files off it, or have I lost them?

They are probably lost. There's not much to do to try and recover flash drives/memory. You could try another reader on a different computer, but that's about it.

Oh well. Luckily the important stuff was backed up in about another 3 places (I'm paranoid like that).

I had an SD card die on me, it wiped my brother's High School graduation photos. Oddly enough my PS3 formatted it and it started working properly again. I had tried it in 2 different card readers and neither could see it let alone read it.

On the bright side, if it's an official SD card, it should have a little reflective sticker on it granting you a life-time warranty. At least, all the ones I own have it...
