I have spoken with Apple, and the following are the new rules:
1. No images of women in bikinis (Ice skating tights are not OK either)
2. No images of men in bikinis! (I didn’t ask about Ice Skating tights for men)
3. No skin (he seriously said this) (I asked if a Burqa was OK, and the Apple guy got angry)
4. No silhouettes that indicate that Wobble can be used for wobbling boobs (yes – I am serious, we have to remove the silhouette in this pic)
5. No sexual connotations or innuendo: boobs, babes, booty, sex – all banned
6. Nothing that can be sexually arousing!! (I doubt many people could get aroused with the pic above but those puritanical guys at Apple must get off on pretty mundane things to find Wobble "overtly sexual!")
7. No apps will be approved that in any way imply sexual content (not sure how Playboy is still in the store, but …)
That those were popular in the first place is really weird given that there's a web browser on the thing, but censorship is always a shame. Love the burqua question.
Ya, the crappy part is people who depended on the income didn't even get a warning until after it was down. Yet playboy/Sports Illustrated and big names like that got to stay.
Apparently sexy is bad if it is from poorer people and good if it comes from rich people. Lets not even get into the fact that apparently apple can trash your business model that was initially approved on a whim.
Hey, I don't think anyone here mentioned it: I believe TouchArcade said that the FF1 and FF2 ports are sets for release this Thursday. Prices TBA, but knowing SE I'd say at least $5.99 apiece, if not $9.99 each.

i just failed the first stage in battle of puppets on easy
and people said the game wasn't difficult...
There's a lite version of Mega Man 2 to try for free. I played it once and found the virtual d-pad so absolutely terrible that I considered it worthless, but you might be a little more forgiving. :P
Did anybody get Critical Wave yet? It seems to be another dual-stick shooter, but has evolving bosses a la Warning Forever, but from the screenshots, they also smack-talk your sorry ass, which is many times awesome. Intriguing, eh?
I might get it later, but i think it's an expensive 2.39EUR...
Yeah, i know that's not much, but i've been buying a LOT lately. I've been trying to get into Circuit Strike One, but the screen seems to have too much visual junk on it for my liking, so is distracting, and the firing angles seem a bit weird, and your weapon only seems to be visible slightly further out from your craft, making it hard to get used to aiming properly...
One game i have been enjoying, though, is Against the Fire (apologies if anyone already talked about this), which is another dual-sticker, but instead of blasting enemies, you're a Fireman, blasting cute flame... monster... things, and rescuing trapped civvies. It's a little more simplistic than i thought it would be, but entertaining nonetheless, and a refreshing style instead of vectors or zombies.

I was one of the testers of Critical Wave, so I'm problably biased . For a good set of impressions from users who actually bought and played the game check out this thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=46034

Is civilization:revolutions worth 7bux? I'm starting to get bored of doom rpg, and need something new.
The touch controls can be a little weird at times but if you've played and enjoyed it for any other platform, I would recommend it. I bought it right after it came out in 4Q 2009 and I still play it. About 4-5 months of consecutive casual play for $7? I'd say that's a deal.
Regarding PvZ, am I missing something? I can't afford shit. I bought the dual-headed sun flower and that's it and I only have $3450 and I'm up to 5-2.
How do I make mroe money? And I'm clicking on coins when they drop. I just don't make any money!
Wait until you unlock the coin flower, then when planting plant a row of sunflowers and a row of coinflowers, or even do the low level challenge maps with as many coin flowers as you can manage to plant
Just got an IPod touch a little while ago, anything good out there for turn-based rpg/rts? Similar to final-fantasy-tactics-type rpg or more modern sci-fi type of stuff?
The longer and more in-depth, the better, something that can be polished off in 2-3 hours will probably make me regret spending the $

and it only gets harder
the second army you fight is assrapingly difficult
am i doing this wrong? it's on easy...
I must be missing something as well because the game is NOT easy... I play it on easy and failed a few times at first. Once you sort of "get" the mechanism of the game it get's easier, but just a little.
Unlike other games, even on easy, you seems to need to use every single tools to your advantage to win this game. Using the professions (not sure why they didn't call those spells anyway) are vital to win games.
Don't forget also that once you have captured a setpoint (little flag that shows up), you can click on it and upgrade it twice to have some sort of fortified defence tower that needs to be destroyed before the enemy can go forward toward your castle. Also, these "towers" allows you to create new soldier from there instead of having to do this from the main castle. Only elementary soliders can be created from those towers.
Once I started to grab theses 2 comcepts, I started to win games. But creating those new waves of enemy very fast and constantly casting the paralysing spell, er, Profession are vital to win.

update:
nope, didn't help. The "others" now eat up slightly less
First thing to do is make sure and check storage usuage in cydia. Cydia reports jailbroken app properly in the app section.
Chances are you have corrupted data. It's a bug with iTunes and it can happen to legit and jailbroken hardware. It happens when you interrupt the sync process. Easiest fix is restore. And reload the back up from the pc/mac.

???? I am not seeing any Square Enix games on Sales right now. Song Summoner is still 7.99$, Hills and rivers remain is still 4.99$ and with their other games.
Has anyone else attempted to download FF1 or 2? I bought it, downloaded it and when the download completes, iTunes stops responding. When I terminate the process and reload iTunes, the app is gone from my download list. I re-download and it locks up again.
I had to go to work right after that, so I didn't get a chance to try again. Hopefully iTunes starts responding again since I left it running.

Not much of a sale I guess. I'll pass. Not cheap enough for my taste vs my desire to play those games...
I think it was recommended earlier in the thread but I really have to second Crush the Castle if you don't have it. It's a fun physics-based game where you destroy castle-like structures with a trebuchet, and try to do it with as few shots as possible. I've played through the whole game already and I still go back and spend time on earlier levels, destroying them with the new weapons. It's only $0.99 too.
How's the Noby Noby Boy app? I'd like to get it but I can't get a good idea of what it's like from the screenshots. Augmented reality minigames?
I purchased Chinatown Wars yesterday. I had to go somewhere, left the download running and couldn't attend to my computer for 7 or so hours. When I returned, I found that iTunes was frozen so I had to shut it down. Now, the app is neither on my download list nor on my Applications page. What do I do? The game's page on the Store says "$9.99 Buy App". And the purchase has been recorded in my account.
Guys, is Wesnoth on iphone still as ball-crushingly hard as the original PC version was?
I remember reading an interview with the guy who made the first one, where he said that he'd intentionally made it horribly difficult, because he liked games that way, but i'm scared to try it. Like a big sissy. And i've finished Gunvalkyrie, which wasn't exactly easy.
Goddamn, I am an iPhone whore. Whenever I get iTunes gift cards I have every intention of actually using them to buy music, but the credit gets sucked up instantly by games. I bought FF1 for $8.99 -- a bit steep for iPhone games, but considering I was half-interested in the PSP version when it would hit $10, I decided it was a splurge I could handle. It's ... well, it's FF1. The framerate is a little wonky, even on my 3GS; not that it's every really horrible, but it flips between "normal" and "really smooth." And I've played the game to death already, and the really easy difficulty of this version (like the PSP and GBA versions) is a bit of a turn off. And The only part that really irritates me is the goddamned font; any letters with descenders, like G's and Y's, don't display on the same level, so you get this uneven X-height kind of thing. I'm a copy editor, so these are the kinds of things that keep me awake at night. :x
But it's really a nostalgia buy for me, plus the thought of having FF1 on the go at my beck and call is great. The controls are adapted for iPhone with big ol' buttons and touch-to-select menus and shops and such. so long as you remember what it was back in the day -- an epic dungeon crawler -- then it's definitely worth a buy at some point. I don't know if SE is typically the type to have sales or really drop prices much; you might want to wait until it dips a little bit, but even at $9, it's still a pretty good deal compared to how you could buy this on other platforms. And yes, Dawn of Souls on GBA also has FF2, but real talk: No one likes FF2.
Speaking of 8-bit throwbacks, I also bought Giana Sisters, which is on sale for $2.99 right now and will be until sometime in March. I've only played through the first world, but it's pretty cool as a we're-not-even-gonna-front Mario clone. The ironic part is that the App Store is fraught with unabashed clones, but given this game's history, it's an original clone. :P It doesn't have the cool pixel art that the DS version apparently does, but on the other hand I did see some kind of "retro mode" unlockable in one of the game's menu, so maybe it's available as a bonus feature?
Anyway, it uses controls much like Sooziz, which is another excellent iPhone platformer: left and right move buttons, a jump button and a few other action buttons. It controls really well (it also has an alternate control scheme, but it's rubbish), and I haven't quite seen it yet, but I peeked at the help menu and it seems like it has extra mechanics that help differentiate it from a straight-up Mario 1 palette swap. Platformer fans may want to check it out.
Well, I was agonizing over whether to spend the nine bucks on FF1, but then I noticed that it requires the OS 3.0 update and decided it's definitely not worth 14 bucks.
Doesn't that update just add a sideways keyboard, copy/paste, and bluetooth functionality? Why should FF1 need that stuff?

yeah, crush the castle is excellent. Worth bearing in mind that you can play it for free on the PC as it's a port of a Flash game, but in my opinion it's considerably better than Angry Birds and is well worth the low price to have it on the iPhone.
