Mystery Science Theatre 3000 - Watch out for Snakes!
If you don't know what I'm talking about, you really don't belong here
Mystery Science Theatre 3000 is a show featuring the comedic likes of Joel Hodgson/Mike Nelson and his robot friends Crow (Trace Beaulieu) and Tom Servo (Kevin Murphy [tiny]and Bill Corbett[/tiny]) as they riff on really cheesy movies
i have never seen nor never plan to see this show and i am posting here because zot's a tool and he said this thread isnt for people like me
MST3K is a fucking awesome show, I remember when it use to come on cable years ago when i was a kid and I would watch it non stop, and if you sir don't like it, or never plan to see it, then you have no right to form an opinion about this show.
MST3K is pretty much the best thing ever. Just don't start some sort of silly Joel vs. Mike thing.
Rifftrax is a lot of fun but not quite as good as MST3K was. But there are some really good ones, especially for terrible movies like the Stars Wars prequels and the Harry Potters. The Star Was Holiday Special one is spectacular, especially if you've never actually watched the thing before seeing it.

I can't find it anywhere, but one of my favorite MST3K moments is when mike and crow and tom servo put on crazy pink outfits and teach everyone how to count in spanish
it's so fucking ridiculous

Both Cinematic Titanic and the Rifftrax crew have done live shows in Los Angeles
I missed the CT one but I caught the Rifftrax show here where they did Plan 9 From Outer Space live
It was really great
Though it is weird to have two different versions of MSTK on tour
Kind of like their used to be two rival Beach Boys groups
The same thing happened with The Temptations too
Rifftrax are pretty awesome. But that might just be because I have been so desperate for MST3K for so very long. Mike was absolute gold on the Jurassic Park one, but the guest (Weird Al) was a bit grating.

And are they as good as the old MST3k?
In my head I imagine them not being because the movie they are doing are not nearly as hilariously awful.
That is 30% and that demands recognition.
