Best Live CD for mounting / getting files off of bad NTFS drive?

Well, the thread topic says it all; a friend's NTFS drive has gone south on him, and I would live to give him a live Cd / DVD that has the tools needed to try and recover files off the HDD to put on a flash drive.

I am very computer literate, and pretty much just need a link to the relevant place to D/L this.

    I usually keep an Ubuntu DVD around for such situations.

    Seconded on a Linux based boot disc. I've been able to recover things from bad NTFS drives using the command line that I haven't been able to with a windows based boot disk. Still if you want to give it a crack, you can also try the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows.
