I thought the greenskin lands were a hassle to quest in. Too many mountains and long annoying paths to take. Oh and then I came to the badlands and died in one corner of the map only to ressurect in the opposite corner.
I think I pretty much didn't quest at all in the greenskin areas after that. Once they release the Choppa though, I'll probably give the pairing anuvva' go.
If you need exp though, near the end when the DE quests were giving you 9k and the chaos were worth like 12-14k, greenskin were worth 17k+.
When I figured that out, I stopped going to DE altogether.
The only problem I found, is that DE areas seemed to have the better equipment rewards for both quests and influence. Unless I wanted weapon skill on everything I got, which I've never wanted as a Sorc or Shaman.
Chosen shines when sticking close to your team and supporting them with your auras and keeping things off your healers/mdps. Black Orc works better for smashing enemy frontlines and pushing the fight forward as they tend to live longer.
Honestly though? Both classes can do what I just listed above pretty well so for me personally it comes down to what mechanic you prefer. Black Orcs use "Plans" which basically means that you have starter abilities, middle abilities and finishers. Chosen have a bunch of useful auras that you can twist.
I'm actually leaning towards leveling my Black Orc and letting my Chosen go as I'm not a fan of twisting so I only do it when things really hit the fan and thus I'm kind of a crappy Chosen.
Which sucks because I love soloing with my Chosen but I always feel slightly guilty in PvP/scenarios for not twisting as much as I should be.
I have and still do want so badly to love playing Chosen. But it's just not gonna happen.
I could maybe see it being rewarding enough, given consistently well organized groups, but without that, I think I'd feel that the auras would be too wasted.
Twisting bores me. I really like the concept but the GCD kills it for me. If auras were not part of the GCD or had their own, separate Aura Cool Down I'd enjoy my Chosen a great deal more.
for some reason, when I twist from anything INTO my .05 Cast time aura, it automatically twists me out of my .05 aura. As in, it starts the countdown right when i twist into it.
That is some bug that has to do with auras from your mastery.

So I played this game a little bit when they did the pre-order beta, has it improved since then?
And on that note, would anybody be interested in toss me a trial invite? I have some time over the next couple days and I'm interested to see what it is like now.

Not at all.
Actually. What mythic has done is soemthign new, called 'depatching.' where they go back to early beta releases and go back earlier and earlier so as time goes on the game gets worse and worse....
Of course the game is better. By how much is up to you. There's been a bit of class balancing that helped tweak most everyone's class. Then there are ORvR influence rewards which make people drool.
How's TSM going? I want to get back into WAR but the dudes I played with before were never on all that much. Are there folks playing alts and stuff or am I going to be pugging it to 40? Not that it'll be a dealbreaker, I just wanna know what I'm getting myself into (assuming I'm getting into anything at all, is recruitment still open to PA folks?).
Are the Candymancers letting people in? My Warrior Priest is level 8 and getting lonely.
And I love the oRvR influence. Lots of RvR in Tier 1 going on that I didn't think we'd see this late after launch. I have one question: if I pick the lower level rewards, will I be able to pick up the higher level stuff? The obvious answer seems to be "yes", but it could be an oversight. Not going to get my belt if I can hit one more level for the better belt.
If you mean can you choose the blue reward and still get the same purple one? No. If you mean do you get one thing at each level of influence, then yes.

That is incredibly stupid.
One is for people who just kind of meh their way through RvR, one is for people who RvR all the time and have a crazy renown rank.
So I rolled a chosen on red eye, because I play chaos with my miniatures, and well...chaos is good right?
RIGHT-O MISTER ANON! Holy shit I am having a blast playing this guy, hes big, covered in metal, and swings another bit of metal at other dudes making them cry.
Its quite enjoyable, nevermind the fact that I seem to have a ton easier time in pve then the white lion for some reason...I can get jumped by added mobs and still come out alright where as on my WL I just laid down and died.
It could be that I wanted to play a tank, it could be the fantastic conversation I had with the TSM folks about Warhammer Fantasy miniature game, or that its entirely new content (destro).
Although I would like to ask this: has anyone else been pushed along the chaos quest line way to fast? I am only level 10 and already getting pushed to chapter 6...I don't remember this happening so quickly when I played order.
Edit: Oh and the black fire that flows from me when I have auras up is just icing on the chaotic cake.

Well, one's a tank, the other is a medium armour wearing MDPS without a shield.
Although, latter PQ stages aside, my WL doesn't really die in PVE. With some care she can even solo most same-level champions with lion in tank mode (depends on whether or not she can burn down the champ in lion-lifespan + 15 seconds + lion lifespan time), and if shit hits the fan you can always have the lion taunt as you flee+charge away.
I'm pretty excited. I have nearly a complete set of Sentinel gear. I have only been on 4 runs and have gotten 4 pieces to the set. I actually don't even need to do Bloodwrought anymore, since it doesn't drop anything I need.
Too bad, Bloodwrought is a fucking blitzkrieg once you have a group that has it down. We average just like 20min in that dungeon with the group I roll in.
Bilerot however is the really slow one.

This is how they work currently.
I will, for example, cast taunt then immediately tap strength aura followed by ravage: the aura will trigger as the ravage animation fires. In that sequence of three keys only taunt and ravage are on the global cooldown.
I reckon you should log back in and have a play mate.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.
I'm having a blast in the City Dungeons right now, have a group that does them every 3 days. We manage to clear Bloodwrought in 15-20 minutes, and then Bilerot takes another 40-60min.
Unfortunately, I'm doing them with my 40 Shaman instead of my 40 Black Orc.
Which is sort of why I'd really like to see some more dungeons with the other racial capitol cities. As getting to do dungeons for only 1 hour every 3 days is sorta shitty.

If they move to a larger loot spiral though, I will not be happy. I don't care if they put in more places to get sentinel gear or whatever, but I do not want WoW.
i don't want a taller spiral. i don't really want a large spiral, either.
i want more ways to get them. since they are gates to further game content, and i only have 2 items of the sentinel/conq level sets, i'm gonna get stuck out of LV stuff with the Candymancers. Not because they're dicks, but because I don't have the gear to go, because drop rates are shit for classes that are actually present at the kill. on average we get 1 piece of gear for a group member on a full 3 instance run. when we don't have an engi present, we're absolutely going to get at least 3 engi drops.
i can't believe i want something like a token system, but i want something like a token system.

No I agree, if they are going to have something as capricious as wards, they should have a way to remove the random chance element of them. The game mechanics shouldn't encourage something like 'LF DPS, no BWs' because having two BWs screws up your loot chances. I mean assuming an optimally balanced group (no duplicate classes) with no sentinel gear, you still have a 25% chance of getting nothing good on any boss. And that chance rises dramatically if the situation isn't ideal. I mean, the chances of getting your final ward on any given run are like 8%. Ugh, at least the glove ward can be bought.
How does talismans work. If you put in an 8 hour one can you then put in another one once it runs out? I have 3 pieces of gear with slots (2 oblit and 1 inf reward) and my lvl 18 choosen has nothing really good to put there. Well one +40 resist thingy that I consider putting in but I'm definently not going to put a +2 initiative if I could just buy up some cheap talismans and plop one in every time I like to play.
It still boggles my mind that they made the wards so absolutely essential for dungeons and city sieges, and yet they made getting them so frustrating. Why they don't just have a token system is beyond me.

Or they should have just made every peice of conq gear drop from players based off their Realm Rank for the better parts. Higher RR players drop the chest / legs / helm

It's better than that. A 8h talisman will last you 8 played hours. Unless you play 8+ hours a day the talisman should last you a few days.

Some of their quest names or PQ names are awesome. The only one that comes to mind at the moment is "When the ship hits the sand".

Well, more like EQ1 warriors with a choice of about a dozen(?) auras they can twist like EQ1 bards and the ability to solo pretty effectively in PvE.
Not at all.

I guess tanks and healers get something else? Seems a bit tacked on.
RR80 is a loooongways away for people that don't renown CHEAT.
I wouldn't call surfing the zerg on the RvE train cheating.
Sure it takes no skill, just a matter of time instead.
I mean seriously... over 59 days /played. Very sad.
