Looking for a song with very little to work with

I just left the supermarket and they had a song playing, with male vocals about being alone or loneliness or something of that sort. It's not recent, and I'd say it sounded like this a bit, (but obviously not).

    What did he sound like? Young or old, deep voice or high etc. Also did you recognize any instruments being played? Whether it sounded like a band or just him on guitar etc.

    I think it was mostly guitar, kinda sounded like chris isaak's wicked game? I had some of the lyrics in mind when I left the store to google it, but it ended up slipping my mind completely =(

    Sorry I didnt mean it sounded like Isaak himself, I meant the song itself kind of resembled it. This one's voice is also too high.

    Some shops here in the UK have a compilation CD they play all day. Maybe you could ask a shop assistant? Or was it on the radio?

    it was the radio, so there was nobody to ask and it's a little late to look up the playlist, not that even know the station.
