I love my job (jk work is balls)
Posts
and I'm pretty sure I'm twenty effing three, have graduated college, live on my own, make my own money and get absolutely nothing
also I think said dependent has to be actually you know
dependent
on the filer
that's why they call it that
Javen you're silly
Yeah, this is what I meant. Some people's normal faces just don't look happy, regardless of how they feel! Mori could write a book on that subject.
And, it is never your fault that others are spreading rumours about you. And I can't see how anyone would find you an asshole, but eh, workplaces.
Good luck!
OK, I would have thought you wouldn't do that if you wanted your stimulus moneys. I must have missed something here.
It would lead to a speedy audit if someone listed you as a dependent and your own tax return contradicted that.
It's weird.
so basically this then
1) I saw I didn't make enough money before I knew my mom was listing me as dependent. Therefore I really didn't care
2) I kinda don't want my mom to get audited, call me a madman
3) Now that I am making enough to qualify, I feel I should be independent on tax forms
although we're fighting it at the moment, we're pretty much fucked
I make enough to continue eating, drinking, having a place to sleep, and twice a year or so, buying myself professional-level instruments since I started with no good instruments, so no stimulus money, and they get a tax break so.
If you're between the ages of 18 and 23 and weren't in college on December 31, 2008, (Or if you were 24 or older on December 31, 2008) then she's going to get asked to pay back the dependent money whether you check that box or not.
She's not going to get audited because an audit is for if they thought she was reporting her income falsely, which she isn't. More than likely she'll get a slap on the wrist and told hey don't do that give us our monies.

woo
I mean, she has to put down your SSN
It'll flag when they run that.
Plus she'll have to pay a $25 surcharge plus any interest on the balance of what she owes or was overpaid if she does that without filing for an extension.

are you like a tax man or something
if you take a walk he'll tax your feet
No. I do VA benefits.
But I can read directions and do my own taxes because it's really not hard.

see page 11, left box, point 2.
if you can read flowcharts and tables you can file your own taxes.

Busted up his knee, shin splints and back. He's been in medical rehab for months and they're finally offering him a discharge because he's not healing as well as they want a.k.a. permanent damage to the cartilage in his knee. However, the Army is saying that he won't get a medical, just a general separation.
So, yeah.
Did they do a line of duty on the knee injury?

They've done nothing like that on him. I saw copies of all of his medical paperwork from when he was home for holiday/recuperation leave and there was nothing but 'knee, shins, back, shins, back, knee, knee, bullshit.' If there was more in his medical profile, he didn't get copies of it or wasn't informed.
I've had a nice two month vacation
But I've played Mass Effect six times and I just finished up Bully (what an excellent game) and there isn't really much left to play
"Hey, Hans! Your mouf schmells like tuna, ja?"
The line of duty determination would be in his personnel file, not in his service treatment records.
Either way, if they didn't do a line of duty then they can't really not do a medical separation on him, unless he's the one requesting it. So if that's what they're doing he should appeal through whatever process that entails. Unfortunately I know more about the post-separation side of things rather than the pre so that's not entirely in my realm of knowledge.
But I mean, if he doesn't get a medical discharge then he's kind of effed for VA bennies since he didn't serve two years and/or full term of service.

I'm sort of excited to start working again.
But god fucking damn I needed a break and even then I was swamped with projects. Someday I want a goddamn real break. Someday. It won't happen for 20 years, but someday fucking I need it.
Funny, I did four, got an Honorable under Medical, was rated at 60% and was denied bennies by Kay Bailey Hutchinson herself. He's just happy to be free of the bullshit so quickly.
So if she told you that she denied your claim then she's sort of misrepresenting herself.

He just picks 'em up and keeps on going. No pause or anything.
Classy
You said you were gonna look into some sort of solar panel installation thing right?
At least Rachel has a job, and that plus unemployment should mean we'll be okay the next few months at the very least (though hopefully I'll get a job quickly)
