We gladly feast on those who would subdue us.
This is one of my most favorite movies. Everything about it executed nearly perfectly. The cast, the music, the ambiance, everything. I love the sequel as well.
For a family that is incredibly morbid from all outward appearances, there is a wonderful contradiction on how much they live and love. They really have an exuberance for life, particularly Gomez. They just happen to celebrate death just as much.
Gomez and Morticia are two of the most in love people that could ever be. They love their children, Gomez's brother, and Grandmama.
And they love to dance!
The Mamushka!and tango
It's really surprising that the gothy Hot Topic kids never picked up on this movie like they have done for stuff like Nightmare Before Christmas.
When it first came out, I developed such a crush on Christina Ricci that has pretty much never gone away. Shut up, she's my age. She and David Krumholtz are so great together in the sequel.
Raul Julia brings such life to Gomez. Angelica Houston is a vision as Morticia. And Christopher Lloyd is absolutely wonderful as Fester.
The Thanksgiving Play from the sequel is absolutely priceless
Tell me what you love about these movies.

The sequel was just fantastic, and actually improved as I aged and got more and more of the humor.
Fuck I was so in love with Wednesday Addams as a kid.
I've enjoyed al the iterations of this series. The old tv show, the movies, the cartoon, that one week where everybody pretended to be in that universe
God damn she was fine in Casper.
We danced the Mamushka while Nero fiddled,
We danced the Mamushka at Waterloo,
We danced the Mamushka for Jack the Ripper,
And now, Fester Addams, this Mamushka is for you!"
I love The Mamushka.
There have been two animated TV series.
I love that comic.
I love how they duplicated that for the opening scene of the movie.
Man, I forgot all about Adams Family Pinball.
Sweet merciful crap, she was smokin' in Speed Racer.
No.
watched it later as an adult and thought it was hilarious. It did suffer from the 'every movie must have a rap song about the movie in the end credits' thing that seemed to plague every movie in the 90s.
Meadows is a cab driver who picks her up.
She's barely wearing anything other than her coat, and he can barely pay attention to the road while she's sharing stories about experimenting with other women, and he's nearly running people over the entire sketch.
Seriously this movie is so underrated
Damn.
barely, but he's actually not half bad the little he's on screen.
She even looks hot when she is chained and all cracked out.
She is just always hot.
Yea, but so is Ricci, and she is so hot that it doesn't matter that JT is in the movie, she makes up for it.
D'oh!
That is one of my favorite Samuel L Jackson roles, he played it so well.
It is also one of the funniest dramas I have seen in awhile.
It's amazing how many awesome jokes from the cartoons were put in the movies
